Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

Does anyone know what Disney's policy is on toy guns with costumes? My DS is going as a minuteman & wanted to include a toy pistol as part of his costume. I don't want to do it if it's not allowed. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

My understanding is that they are not allowed. The following guidelines were included with the tickets that we purchased - costumes should not:

  • obstruct the guest's view or interfere in their ability to board/unload from attractions and/or the WDW Resort transportation system.
  • Drag on the ground.
  • Contain sharp or pointed objects or material that may accidentally strike another guest
  • Be offensive to other guests.
  • Contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.

Those of you going are you printing Etickets or having the regular ticket cards mailed? A friend of mine asked for my advice and I've done both. Not sure which would be better. Is there an advantage to having the regular ticket cards over the e-ticket or vice versa?

I received my hard tickets a few days ago and they TOO cute so I would suggest that :rotfl: I feel like I have control of them this way and I didn't want to have computer/printer issues!!

Hello everyone. So me and my family will be at MNSSHP on Sept 20th. We are soo excited. Its our first time going and we are looking forward to the fun. Me and my kids will all be in costume save for my DH who refuses. I'm trying to get him to atleast wear a halloween disney shirt.. We shall see. Glad to join you all for the festivities.

Stitchspawn, do you know how you friend made those decorations? Did she use a Cricut type machine or did she make them by hand. I'd love to make something similar but with different characters. Thanks so much!

I'm sure you could print it more than once, or the other option is just to pick up the tickets at "Will Call" and save the $ that they charge you to ship the hard tickets. :D

It is getting close!! We have 17 days until we leave. Wish we could have stayed at Pop our first day there but no rooms available:sad1: BUT we will still be there :cool1::cool1: MNSSHP is on the 23rd for us :hippie:

Can anyone help me find a thread I saw a little while back: it's a thread with a lot of pictures of the Halloween merchandise that is starting to be sold in the parks~ I searched (really I did!) and looked many pages back and I'm still missing it. I would so appreciate help!:flower3:

The MNSSHPs are so much fun! We've been to a couple and loved them!
I hope everyone has a great time!

Do you think Monday night/ Columbus day will be packed? We have the option of going another night that week too. Just wanted to check before I purchase the tix. :)

yes she did use a cricut, and some things are painted on with craft paint pens, Jack's stripes and Stitch's eyes. She does really great work :goodvibes

LOL Don't go Tuesday the 11th....lol :rotfl:

Columbus Day isn't looking all that crowded, it's a Monday and not a recognized holiday by many states and businesses, so I haven't to many people saying they are going to that one.

I was in Dollar Tree today and they had the trick or treat bags with Disney characters. I know they give you bags, but someone might like these a little better. Also, if you have a prince or princess, they had glow stick wands and swords that would work great at night.

Crap. I didn't even realize that the night we were planning is Columbus Day. Yikes. Oh well, I really feel like it's too close to want to change anything around now. I've got what I'm doing which day burned into my brain! LOL.

According to the other thread, there are only a couple of us going on that day, but I wonder how the locals will attend? Anyways, just a thought. I'm going that day no matter what! (Even though the tickets nor costumes are bought yet!)

Most locals don't have that day off, (HAPPY).

I wish they would have taken down that Memories Begin sign and put up more halloween decor...I hate that sign, I don't know why, but I don't like it at all....
