Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

This is our first disney trip let alone MNSSHP very excited, we will be attending on Oct 20th, which I think is a Thursday. I have BBB booked for 7 yr old dd at 1pm, the 1900 Park Fare at 430pm and then we were going to head over to the halloween party. I really didn't want to be there until 11 or later at night at all, is it doable to do most things and be able to leave around 10ish? so obviously we'll be doing the first parade and just hanging at the resort til 1130 that morning and having an early lunch there, I'm a planner its what I do and its so hard for me to go somewhere in the dark not knowing what to expect I need answerssssssssssssss lol !

I'll be at the September 27th party. Can't wait to trick or treat and see all the characters and parade and fireworks!!

Our tickets for the Nov. 1st party came in the mail TODAY :cool1:!!!! I am sooo excited and I can't share this excitement with my kiddos since it is a surprise trip for them! I had to come share my mood with those who understand what wonderful news this is!!

Okay that is JUST about the cutest thing EVER ! I hope someone has their DD wear that!!! Love it!

So cute! Wish I saw that earlier. Still trying to decide what my daughter is going to wear. We are going on Halloween!

Super excited! DH just agreed to do both MNSSHP and HHN at Universal the last week of the month when we are in St. Augustine visiting his parents. Makes the vacation much better, since I don't really like my inlaws and now I have something to look forward to. Now to find a costume....:ccat:

Hi everyone...We will be attending the Party on 9/20. It is our 1st time and not sure what to expect. Do alot of people dress up? I can not decide if I want to dress up or not.....mixture of wanting to be in the Halloween Party mood to will I feel like everyone is looking at me!! HELP....I need your input!!!

Is anyone else here going to the Sept 20th MNSSHP. My family is heading there as a crew of Pirates DS(9) as Hook and DS(5) as Jake

We will be there on 9/20.....Trying to decide if we will dress up. We have pirate outfits that we wear on the Disney Cruises, so we may do that. Worried that they may be to hot tho....also, mine requires boots!!

all this talk of trick or treating, i just had to run & pick me up a few candy bars...:rotfl: butterfinger

Hey all! We are 10 days away from our vaca and 11 away from our very first MNSSHP! We are planning on dressing up, but after reading this thread, I am beginning to wonder if I'm being a bit TOO cerebral (I like 'smart, make you think about it' costumes).

If you saw me dressed like this, what would you think I was:
Black Pants
White Shirt
Apron
Disney Name tag that says "Chef de Cuisine" from "Paris, France"
French Flag Mickey Head patch on apron (I don't know if I'm using this)
Beret

Did I put too much thought into this? :confused3 Help!

The girl from Rati---I can't spell the rest. I think that's fabulous!:cutie:

The easiest, most comfortable thing I could think of puts us in "rival park" terrirtory - our Thing 1, 2, & 3 t-shirts for the kids, and I could paint their hair blue. I would wear a Cat-in-the-Hat hat and simple black & white capris & t-shirt. Would we get ribbed pretty bad for not wearing Disney costumes?

No ribbing here. Sounds cute and cool. :thumbsup2Not all guest costumes are Disney related.
Heck. play it up - if anyone comments, tell them you're defecting and seeking character asylum

Last year was my first time, and I had a BLAST! Going again this year because last year was so awesome. There will be people dressed up, but also a lot who aren't dressed up. You'll fit in either way. Whichever you decide, you'll be fine. (Last year I dressed up and my friend didn't and we didn't feel out of place. Only grief he got was from a CM on POTC at the end of the night, so we don't even really count that. I gave him some grief too, but as it was fun ribbing it doesn't count either. :goodvibes) Do whatever you feel like doing, remember it will probably hot still, and HAVE FUN!!!
