Whitney,
I think you and I need to go in together and get TCD a premium campsite and some HDDR seats any time Bama and the Gators play. I am extremely superstitious when it comes to football winning and losing so if that works then we have to do it.

While I would be tempted by such an offer, I will not accept it. This is not a superstition- it is a fact- my being at the Fort causes the Gators to play badly against Alabama. I mean, what else could explain this phenomenon? The last two games were slaughters.
And don't any of you go and try to muddy the waters by pointing out that Alabama is a far superior team with far superior coaching. That has nothing to do with it.

This Bama game coming up against SC is the one that I had circled all year. In my early posts on this thread I liked SC because of the veteran quaterback, outstanding freshman runner, and a tough defense. I've been to the stadium area on business but never on gameday and would love to see the (Game)Kok-a-booses in action (maybe somebody can provide some pix? as a train fan I love the idea). They are old train cabooses parked on side tracks near the stadium, painted in SC colors and fully restored for tailgating.
Ellis Johnson (the DC at SC) was a DC at Alabama in the past and did a great job. So I respect him and his defense. Jeffrey is a top receiver with Green and Jones in the SEC. If SC plays an error-free game this will be tough. Lattimore is the first downhill runner we've faced this year so it will be a test.
For our Gator fans, I think you know the strategy for LSU. Build a lead, let Les-the-Hat burn his timeouts, then let him have the ball on the last series when they're behind. Oy!

PS-I heard on radio this week Richt may keep his job because of the buyout amount (rumored $7-9M after this season). Maybe they'll pull something together yet.
I am also looking forward to the seeing some of the Alabama at SC game. It should be a good game. The Old Ball Coach is a crafty fellow. I can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve for this game. But, trick plays are not going to win this game. I expect Alabama to continue to be a focused, disciplined team, and to win this one. And, that is good for the Gators, too, as it gives SC another loss, and puts the Gators a step closer to locking up the SEC East. The Gators need Alabama to be ranked number one when they meet again to have any chance of an argument that they should play in the BCS Championship Game (a man can dream, can't he?)
As for Gators v. LSU, I don't see the Gators losing to LSU in the Swamp this year. The Gators have struggled, but they have talent and depth. I think things will start clicking for the team in this game, and that this game will be the first step to a strong finish in the rest of the season.
Other games that I am interested in this weekend:
Tenn. @ Georgia- Boy, what disappointing seasons these two are having. Tenn. is 2-3 and Georgia is 1-4. I say Tenn. gets up to .500, and Georgia continues its decline.
Auburn @ KY- Auburn shouldn't have any trouble here. After this, Auburn has some tests. Arkansas and LSU. Then we will see if Auburn is for real.
FSU @ Miami- I would really like to see FSU win this one. But, I'm not sure they will. They certainly have the talent. But they didn't do too good on their last big game. They have played well since then, but I'm just not sure. This game defines their season.
Another fun weekend of college football!
