I think you're right. I believe we got ours AFTER we booked in September last year.
I love watching them and getting excited about our upcoming trip. Plus, I can tweak our plans a little if we see a "must do" or whatever.

i love them too! my favorite is the one from a couple years ago with Dave (the leisure consultant). he was really into finding all the best benches in WDW. I watch that DVD over and over can't wait for the next one!

I could be TOTALLY off base - but with the extension of the Year of a Million Dreams, I wouldn't expect too much of an overhaul with the planning DVD. Maybe a few tweaks here and there - but nothing major.

I was thinking this too! I hope they change it up a little, though. The 2007 one wasn't as exciting as the 2006 one. It was more of a tear jerker.

I would like an updated planning DVD, the old one I have is from at least 2.5 years. Does a new one come out every year? If so, about what time of year? I do not want to order one for my April 2008 trip if a new one is coming out soon.

I would also be interested in knowing this. We ordered a planning DVD last summer so would be it a different one if we ordered one now?

I am wondering though since they extended Year of a MIllion Dreams into 2008 if they will use the same planning DVD that was released at the beginning of 2007?

If not I sure will order it again! love those things for my Disney fix!

If they continue to use the 2007 YOMD DVD for 2008, I hope they at least freshen up the section with the teens. It was a big commercial for Disney Mobile, which is ceasing operation as of 12/31/07.

Anyone know if Disney will make a new travel DVD for 2008 since I've
read that they may be extending the "Year of a Million Dreams" thru
2008? I love to get the DVDs. I have the last 2 years. I didn't like this years DVD but loved the one with the lazy Dave Guy and hoping they bring these characters back. Anyone know about what time period do new travel DVDs come out anyway? thanks

I don't know the answer to your question, but I also hope they put out another video like the one from 2 years ago (with lazy Dave.) My kids and I loved it and watched it over and over again.

Sign me up. I do not like the DVD for YOAMD, I love the ones with Erin, Stacy, Dave and Luke. I have several of them and watch them over and over again. Some of those were even updated, so I have them showing various stages of EE.

Ugh, This year's DVD was so bad! Too darn sappy! I hope they release one that actually shows the parks and attractions!

I don't mind the sappiness of the video, but I really don't like the videos in general.

I realize the videos are supposed to tease and entice so that you want to go, but the lack of resort information should be changed.

I also think the special features could use some revamping.

Since it is still YOAMD, I think it will be the same old DVD. I liked the Lazy Dave one too (even though it was generally panned here) ... but the YOAMD DVD seemed too broken up ... and like others said a little sappy. Here's hoping for a better one in 2009!!! (for me the theme will be "Year of the Empty Pockets" since I will have been to WDW three times in two years by March of 2008!

different WDW resorts for future trips.
