Looking for some classy suggestions for additions to an office.

After taking a look at some of the pictures, I'm a tad-bit jealous. I'd like to create a sort of "Disney Corner" for my office. I'm thinking about starting an autograph collection, trying to get one of each of the characters. Since some are extremely uncommon to see, and new ones are always being added, it's a pleasantly futile activity. I'm also thinking about tossing the pin lanyard there as well as buying a glass slipper (for my future princess).

Of course, I could use a few more suggestions. What other Disney souvenirs could go well in a classic conservative office? My character is Grumpy and while he's not exactly conservative, he's there!;)

Well, part of it depends on the "style" you'd be going for. You could look for framed art (like animation cells), or statuettes/figures. One of my favorite items, which I don't have a picture of and is in storage, is my limited edition "Mickey's Self Portrait" Watch and Shadow Box. The shadow box makes for a very nice, conservative, artistic display piece, without being too "cartoony".

Yes, I love Disney, but for personal design, I don't like "cartoony". I am a freak! :rotfl:

Should we be suggesting for a small company/informal office type stuff?? Or a formal professional office?

Formal professional for sure.

That's a good idea about an animation cell, thanks!

You could always go for a Mickey hole puncher--chances are no one would notice the shape ;)

Black and White Disney photos---- A collage of pictures that you take/took yourself on Disney vacation!

Character pictures: If you could print them before you leave Disney (or bring pictures you already have), you could try to get some autographed.

All in classy frames, of course! Nothing tacky.

And maybe just one picture in the whole bunch in colour! Or, if you edit your pictures, have them all black and white with just 1 extra colour in each (I forget what that is called)

Of course, you could also swap out your office phone for a work Mickey Mouse statue phone! That's a classic.... and classic = classy, n'est-ce pas? :rotfl:

Another great idea is to get a share of Disney stock from One Share or one of the other internet companies that sell single stocks. The actual Disney stock certificate is quite decorative and has Walt and some of his Disney characters on it. It looks wonderful matted and framed. Truly a classy touch to any dull office decor as well as adding that often needed touch of magic to your day. pixiedust: All you need to do is glance at it to bring a smile to your face and brighten you day! :goodvibes

I have a Mr. Potato Head on my desk. Besides the traditional Mouse Ears and accessories, I an outfit for every holiday (Xmas, Halloween, New Year's, etc). I also have the Mickey Mouse keyboard brush sitting on the desk. I'm always receiving comments about these items. (good comments).

This is pretty classy.

Or a "Thinker".

Maybe even an inspirational quote?

Hmm, that first item looks familiar there Joe. Where have I seen that before? ;)

Yup. It's funny really. I've had a few "conservative/classy" art pieces, and as often as not, folks don't even realize the item is Disney when they first see it. :)

how about a digital picture frame?

Last year it wowed my fellow office workers who would stop by the desk to see the changing pictures from recent WDW trip, of course. Nice thing about them is plug your memory card in and watch the show. Some people even brought their cards in to see how their pictures looked in the frame.

For my office ... and it's constant chaos ... on my last trip I found a great desk clock: think Mickey ... it's wood, about 5" dia. round in a natural oak finish with two Mickey ears!!! Got it at the huge Disney store in DTD in the section with the nice watches and jewlery. Your office is an extension of your personality. Have Fun!!!!
