Offical free dining watch 2008

It will most likely be in the travel section of all newspapers. We get the press so I hope its in there. If not, show of hands for all of those who will go directly to the local supermarket (we NJ folks will go to WAWA) and look in every travel section until we see the code..

k just asked my TA to check on FD and they told her to check back on the 10th (yeah!) Also told her the dates will be for 8/30/08 to 9/27/08. hopefully this info is correct.

I certainly hope so. My TA called today too, and he didn't find out anything. I did call DV and they had no idea what I was talking about

So how convinced is everyone that 8/30 will be the start date? I have to say I am REALLY bummed out that they only have 2 days of availability in August this year. Free dining is less than a month. Dang. I was hoping for at least an 8/26 start date.

I'm staying at the Villas at WL (Sept. 21st-27th) & have a dining plan, can I get the free dining? Does anyone know? I called Disney on Sunday & a CM told me she thought I could, but she wasn't sure. She told me it was something I would have to talk to someone in the vacation club to find out...I don't know, I'm so Has anyone ever gotten the FDP or known of someone getting the FDP & staying in one of the vacation club villas? We're not members, we're just staying there. Please if anyone has any clear answers on this, please let me know!

Did you book with someone else's points? If so then I'm fairly certain you won't qualify for free dining. If you booked the room through disney, then I think you'll need to change your reservation from a room only reservation to a package including a one day park ticket.

I just wish we could get more details....the dates don't concern me a whole lot since we arrive on Aug. 31st it should be fine.... but I wanna know if it is gonna include Values or if it will be Mods and up like some rumors have said. I want to tell my agent at DU that we are definately interested in getting the FD WHEN it is released (cause I really don't doubt that it will) but want to know if I have to move up resorts or if I can keep my value! I do think it is in Disneys best interest to include the values, but can understand why they would rather fill the more expensive rooms. Will have to wait and see!

Sweet! My mom and I both have Disney visas, so we should be able to book Monday! I already have bounceback ressies for POFQ, but we really want to change to POP or another value. We'll see how it goes! Thanks for the scoop! I'll be scouring that Sunday paper, too!

Does the whole package cost have to be paid by your Visa or can just the deposit be put on the card and the rest cash? Also, I'm assuming it's the same $200 deposit required as for any other WDW packages.

Although I seriously doubt the free dining will include our dates (Aug. 10-15th), I want to prepared just in case.

We are also booked at Pop for the same dates and my TA just emailed me and said that it looks as though we probably won't be eligible for free dining .

You just need to place the deposit on your Disney Visa card.

i'm booked at pop for aug. 29-sept. 3, i have my adrs, now just waiting for the visa offer mon. i guess i will set my alarm for 6am mon. and be ready to modify!
