FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN READING THE FDP WILL BE ANNOUNCED TO DISNEY VISA CARD HOLDERS ON 4/7/08. ASSUMING THIS IS TRUE, HERE IS MY QUESTION:

I BOOKED MY TRIP THRU AAA AND PAID FOR IT WITH MY DISNEY VISA CARD. WHO DO I CALL TO HAVE THE FDP ADDED ON TO MY TRIP.

DO I CALL DISNEY DIRECT OR DO I GO THRU AAA???

I WOULD THINK AAA BUT JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE.

:worship: FREE DINING :worship:

I don't know if I would wait for AAA by what ive heard on these boards usually by the time their office opens youre prefernce is gone! I'm going either way but when it's announced if it fits my dates I'm going to be sick from work that day so I can call and get my resort hopefully and I'm going to call at exactly 7am!! :thumbsup2

Do you have to call Disney to book, or can you book online?

FWIW... The CM I talked to today was optimistic that Free Dining will be coming in April. Admittedly few people know for sure, but it made me feel good hearing it from the horse's mouth.

Also as a side not to the person hoping for Sept. 14th to get here... don't be so anxious that's the big 3-0 birthday for me. I'll be old officially on that day. LOL

30 OLD?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?:confused3 :rotfl:

I turn 34 in May and I'll tell you, Turning 30 is MUCH better than twenty or the teen years could EVER be. I hope 40 will be even more enjoyable! I think in your thirties your sick of doing the stupid things you did when you were in your twenties (no affense here). Staying out drinking all night long, going back to work...taking chances in life you'd rather have not taken.:rotfl:

In your thirties you learn to take life a bit less seriousely and start living more responsibly....I've heard 40's is more carefree and you KNOW what you want, My mom in her 50's have said that she's not only carefree and less serious, but more CONFIDENT in who she is.

I think the older we get, the more we become content with who God made us to be. We're not striving to be like the Jonses and maybe a bit more grateful for what we DO have instead of what we need to become.

So chin up dear ones. 30 is AWESOME:cheer2:

My trip last Sept was book through AAA. All I did was call my agent a few days before the rumored release of the promo. She said she had heard the rumor. I told her I wanted the free dining. She changed everything for me and sent me a confirmation email. As far as getting an AAA rate and the FDD, I don't know. I just know I added 2 days to my trip and was still about $200 under what a 4 day trip with paid dining would have cost us. :thumbsup2

Were you able to stay at the resort you had originally booked? I have our trip booked thru AAA and I am just afraid that I will not be able to get the resort where we are booked at. It's no big deal if we have to switch. :thumbsup2 But it would be nice not to have to switch. :cool1:

Do TA have a different number to call then the general public??

Last year I had to change my dates on the last booking Day, Jun 25th. We were originally at POFQ, but that was booked so we had to change to POR. Hopefully you won't have any problem. We had a room with a Trundle also that would accomadate 5. So if you don't get one at first try again later on.

HTH

i cant switch i have 5 in my family..i need por..anyone know how fast it booked last year?

POR had availability until about one week before the promo ended. I need POR too and I'm not worried about availability. It's dates that I'm worried about.

60th birthday--girl, you SO have to go crazy and do the free dining again! Because there's another POP GLOW party in the works, and I'm turning 40 in June, and what better place for a couple of classics like us to celebrate the ticking away of the decades than POP's CLASSIC years?!?

ok you made me feel a little bit better about por..i just really want to take this vacation and if free dining isnt offered i might need to look into going somewhere else..plus it will be a surprise for my kids ,they have no idea we are going..i plan on having thier bags packed and at the airport( my huband works there) and they are going to think we are going to see daddy off for a trip when they are really going to be getting on a plane to disney..when at the airport i plan on handing them activitie bags for the plane..thats how they are finding out..this is going to be on a school day so after they(see thier dad off) they were going to be headed to school..they are going to flip.. thier grandmas are going to surprise them 4 days later in the park

You can book online but I dont believe the free dining promo becomes available online until after the fact if thats what you were referring to? And I read on these boards that it is easier to call disney yourself! :thumbsup2
