Offical Code Watch For March 2007/april 2007 Easter

Thanks for the update Tenia66

From what I'm reading the "code" provides for (basically) park hoppers & water park hoppers for no extra charge.

Anything available for after 3/8/07?

Do you think all properties have this "code" available?

Thanks,

hound :)

Bumping because I'm curious if there is any code for March after the 8th. Also curious if the "code" for March is just for the values or also for the mods.

thanks,

Hound :)

I used the upgrade park hopper and water park tickets and I will be staying at POR, so yes it works for the mods. I used the Canadian code so I'm not sure if that will make a difference. We just got in under the belt - arriving 3/7/07! :cloud9:

Thanks MadSofa,

We are planning to arrive on the 9th....and are not Canadian (but we love the cheese soup & pretzels :thumbsup2 ). Guess I'll keep watching & hoping. :surfweb:

Would love to get the park hopper / water park upgrade. :teeth:

No problem Hound! I will keep watching and if I see anything I will post here. Good luck finding something! :sunny:

Hey everyone...currently booked at POR for 5 nights w/ dining package March 21-26. Booked through AAA which seemed to save a little, at least over Disney's direct booking. When and where do I look for these codes? Is there a prayer that any will come out for this time period? I don't want to add water parks and I already booked the "hopper" as part of my package.

What can I hope for/expect in terms of any further discounts? How do I find them and get them applied? Because I technically have a AAA discount already can I use another offer?

Seriously confused...

Thanks for your help!

Someone out there can surely answer all of your questions, but I can tell you that this is the best place to watch for codes. As soon as anyone who is suscribed to this thread sees them, they will post them here! Also, you should frequently check mousesavers.com. And I always read the top links on disboards main page, because they have generally posted links to available deals.

I have a similar siuation to you, AAA booked with hoppers. Here's how I understand and plan to use codes (and someone PLEASE correct me if wrong!): Disney will offer some discount (either to AP, FL residents, Dis Visa holders, or general public) and for each discount there is an associated code. First thing to do is see if the code covers your dates (or dates you can switch to), next decide if it is a better deal than what you have, then call your AAA agent and get them to call Disney and apply it to your ressie OR call yourself and switch it (but I am not sure I can do that with existing AAA, anyone know???).

Example: Since I already have the hoppers, if they offer a similar deal to the one they recently offered with free hoppers, I could use the code, get the free hoppers, keep my AAA discount and my total due would go down. (If you already are paid in full, I assume you could get a refund?)

But, if they offered a room only discount, it probably wouldn't be for me since I plan to use the DDP, and my room portion is already at the AAA rate. But maybe, I 'd have to get out the ole calculator :teacher:

Hope this helps.....it is all very confusing for us newbies!!!! I hope you get more responses!

you could also be mailed (or emailed) a PIN code directly from Disney. If you get one, you have to call Disney to have it applied. I have gotten two this year, but neither were for dates I could go :sad2:

Thanks SandyMandR!

How were you lucky enough to get thise pesky pin codes? Did you have to put your email address out there on every Disney site that exists? LOL :rotfl:

I appreciate the advice and I'll keep my eyes open...here's hopin'!

I have no idea :confused3 I registered at the disneyworld.disney.go.com website and signed up for all the newsletters, etc and checked yes on all of the "can we send you additional information" boxes that I usually check no to. But I've read other people on here that have done the same and not received offers, so I don't know how it happens!! I just wish I would get one for the dates I am going :wizard: By the way about PIN codes, if you get one, apparently you can't post the actual code here on the DIS becuase it is linked to you and can't be used by others anyway. I read that in one of the "sticky"s.
I hope you get a great deal!! Where are you staying? I'll be at POP 4/26-5/5 :cheer2: I'm hoping for free nights with a certain length of stay!!!

Also, this link from mousesavers has historical info about when codes have been released in the past (but not what the actual discount was). Plus mousesavers.com has tons of great info!! I've used their "ultimate packing list" and love the section on "time is money". Have fun!!

Called WDW Travel, I needed to make a payment on my package because I finally freed up my Disney VISA.

Anyways, I asked her if anything will come out for Peak Season, especially Easter and she told me to watch January. And, she said, it will probably be on the packages-to get the room only rack rates visitors to add packages to their rooms. She said with the new sign-up for next fall, she said when that is over, they will concentrate back to the upcoming months starting in January.

:earseek: Sorry to ask such a silly question and I am sure it is on the board somewhere but . . .
If you book a package and pay for it through AAA or Disney and then a code is offered can you change or modify your reservation? Being a planner the idea of waiting until January is already starting to make my heart race. :earseek:

Yes, you can make a reservation and then modify it for a better deal. I usually book AAA rate and then wait for ap rates. I figure out how much more i'll need to pay for an ap above the ticket I would have bought. Divide that by the number of nights and then when rates come out call and ask the ap rate. If the savings is more than that number per night then it saves money to buy an ap. You just tell the rep you want to switch the rate. Since you don't have to give the ap till check in you can just order it before you go. Seems I saved about 80/night a few years ago.

I saw on the WDW website they have a package out for 2 adults, 1 jr. and 1 child, with peak season 2007 blocked out. But give them a call, maybe your first day is not blocked out and then you can get the package.

I'm bumping this because sandy explains this so well :thumbsup2 & it deserves to be read by anyone reading the code threads for the first time.
