Hi,
Just enlisting help for a fellow poster. There's a poster by the name of The Four of Us on the DCL board who wants some info on the Halloween activities on the Wonder. I know there was a previous poster on this thread by the name of marley who was going on the same cruise and I was hoping that they would pick up this post and then check the DCL board posts and help this person out.

The Four of Us posted a thread yesterday but there weren't any replies so I told them that I would try to come up with some help.

So marley, if you're out there, please take a look at the DCL posts and see if you can help out a fellow passenger!

This will be our family's first cruise. We can hardly wait.
Our party includes me, Suzanne, DH Bob, and DD Regan 10.
She's interested in meeting any 10 - 12 year olds who will be on the cruise. Anyone else looking for a pre-teen buddy?

Hi Suzanne and welcome aboard ! Your family will love the cruise it is our third one and we keep coming back for more. My son Austin is 10 so I am sure they will be in kids club together and he'd welcome the chance to have a friend already there.

Just wanted to mention that my daughter will be 10 years old on the cruise and she loves playing with other kids! Her name is Elizabeth and we're in 7060. We'll keep an eye out for you!

I know there are still 7 more months but I thought I would give everyone an update.

I have heard from 24 families that they will be joining us on our wonderful trip. So far I have a confirmed number of 23 children that will be participating in T & T on the magic. We could have over 43 children, if everyone who said they were going on the cruise, confirms that they are going to participate. We have a few that said they were going but I haven't heard if they want to join us for the T & T. Please check your Pm's. Thanks.

As of right now we will have one group, but if we do get over 30 I think we will have 2 groups starting at different points and ending in the Atrium. As of right now I think we will be starting around 1-1:30 so we can be done by 2:30. This also depends on when Disney is going to do theirs. I'm sure I will be doing some adjustments closer to the time. I am going to make signs to put on the doors so the children can just look for the Mickey sign instead of trying to look for numbers. If you haven't emailed me your cabin number please do so we can map out the route and so I know where the signs are going to be placed.

I am thinking of having our own little costume contest. Need input on this. Was thinking of the cutest princess, scariest, and most oringinal. But of course all of the little ones would still get an award for participating. Let me know what you guys all think of this.

Thanks for doing all this work! I love the idea of the Mickey signs on the door! It will make it much easier for the kids to know what doors to knock on.

Re the costume contest, I think that this is a great idea. How would you organize getting the prizes? Maybe we can all bring something to donate for prizes. For example, maybe one family can bring a box of markers, another can bring some candy, another a Disney pin, etc. We wouldn't need to bring anything too big or expensive. We can pool our donations and then decide what appropriate prizes would be. Other alternatives are to send money to one person to buy prizes or families could agree to donate a prize. Maybe we should have a vote!

The signs are a great idea, I used them last year. But please don't depend on them sometimes, they get taking off the doors. Make sure you have a stateroom numbers list and an adult leading your group(s).


For prizes try orientaltrading.com they have great stuff cheap for Halloween and parties. If your going to place an order please let me know maybe we can place 1 order for all and save on shipping. I still have some stuff left over from last year I'll check to see if I have any (You're a winner) medals left.

We've always had everyone meet in front of Lumiere's before the T-or-T and then everyone just went their own ways after we hit the last stateroom. A few years ago we met for lunch at Lumiere's after the kids t-or-t'ed, good food before candy.

Our daughter will also be 10 by the time of the cruise. She would also like to get together with other kids her age.

The reason I password-protected the <I>Halloween Magic</I> website I did was to keep personal info (names/user names with kids & ages, particularly stateroom numbers, etc.) personal. But since it is posted here and even non-DIS viewers can see it, I think I may as well remove the password protection from the website. I will probably do that tonight or tomorrow.

Also, you have a few people I do not have on the cruiser list, which I get from PMs or e-mail directly to me, as well as from postings on this thread. I also have one on our cruiser list who was on a cruise I did in the past and will be on this one, but he has not yet posted here.

Hey everyone Happy April fools day!!

I finally went ahead and officially booked the cruise again. YEA!
I am sooooo happy!!!!

As of now we are in Stateroom 2071, we FL RES rates come out our room may change.

We are all doing well here in FLA. Emily is now 5 weeks old and is growing already. The past few nights she has been sleeping for 6 -7 hours! She will be just over 8 months old when we cruise. I hope I am ready for that!!

ALWATLERS: I just looked at the TorT list. Is my DD 13 going to be able to TorT or is the age only up to 12?

EMMA: Where has your mom been? I emailed her a few weeks ago and didn't hear back from her. Ask her if she got it and was able to see the pictures of Emily.

I made it 13 and under for T & T since we only had a few 13 year olds. I know 13 is considered a teenager but if you knew my ds(who will be turning 13 in August) you wouldn't think he was mature enough to be a teenager at that age. So I think it will be okay for those that are 13 but still a kid at heart to join us. I hope this will be okay with everyone else. Right now there is only 3 or 4 at this age.

I am sorry if I offended anyone by posting the names and ages of this kids, but I just copy and pasted my database so I wouldn't have to retype everything. I just wanted everyone who had sent me an email or pm to know that I did receive them.

Dena, I will mark your stateroom down on the list. Thanks for the info.

Judi not offended at all here, we've posted everything in the past years.
As we got closer to our sailing date I started posting the list on every 3rd page of the thread. We had folks who wanted a head count every day.

Keep up the great job and thanks again Judi and Shari for all your hard work.

Sorry I've been under the weather and haven't been able to post much.

O.K. Dena I was getting worried that I would be standing in the Castaway line without you and your family. BTW how many will be going this year? Also will you be staying at the Radisson this year. I called last week to make ressie but the price was still to high, $129. (AAA rate) for a King Suite like we had last year. I'll keep checking and will post if I get a better rate.
Still looking for deep sea fishing buddies for my DH the day before the cruise.

It doesn't matter to me at all. I made it a protected site because on some of my past cruises many parents did not want their stateroom numbers made public because they were concerned about their children being in the rooms when they were not, and even DCL is not a 100% safe environment (no place is!). But it's easier for me to have it a "public" website. So now it is!

Ginger, can you remember what happened about formal night on the Magic in 2002? It clashed with Halloween as it will this time. I half thought that DCL swapped round formal and semi-formal night so people could wear costumes and formal gear but when I posted on the main board someone thought that they kept formal night as the 31st. Any idea? Emma has a great costume for Halloween but she also has the most beautiful dress for formal night. I know she could wear the dress another night but it may not feel the same.

Karen, I can't remember but I may still have 2002's Navigators. I'll get back to you in a few days about that, have to go dig in the attic to see if I still have them.
I sure hope Emma will grace us with her presence in costume at our T-or-T, maybe as an escort for my Ashley. I know how she loves to go T-or-T'ing.
