***Offical August 2025 Thread***

Hey everyone. I have not forgot about our group here (even if it is very small right now). My mom passed away a couple of weeks ago so have been dealing with that and the things that need to get done. I will be back to update the list soon and talk about Disney! It is the only thing that makes me smile at the moment.

😢 I'm so sorry to hear this. Do what you need to do and definitely come and talk with us about Disney when you are up to it to help you smile.

First family visit to Disney. I'm so excited that I constantly think about it and keep checking all the forums for hints and tips!

We have flights booked but we are still deciding on accommodation. I'm not sure if to go for the Beach Club Villas or keep it cheaper and stay at a All Stars resort!

I think I have the list updated. Let me know if I forgot you or if something is not correct. The holidays have been rough (because of losing my mom) so I still have not been on much but next month I hope to start putting my thoughts into our trip and get back into the planning mood.

For those going in early August:
Available for booking beginning January 2, 2025, you can get a free Disney Dining Plan with the purchase of select Walt Disney World vacation packages, for travel dates starting just in time for the summer!

From January 2 through February 10, 2025, you can get a Disney Dining Plan with the purchase of a non-discounted 3-night, 3-day (at minimum) Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a select Walt Disney World Resort hotel and a ticket with a Park Hopper option.

This offer is available for most arrivals starting May 27 through June 26, and July 7 through August 6, 2025. This first set of dates is new-for-2025, as this year’s Free Dining special offer didn’t begin until July.

Also beginning January 2, 2025, Walt Disney World will have even more offers available, including deals on select Disney Resort hotel rooms.

I booked one night (Aug 19) for MNSSHP with the sale that released this morning. Sale did not include standard rooms, but still $8 less than regular standard for the sale preferred room. I can’t decide if we will do the free water park for a few hours between arrival and party, or if that’s too much for one day. We usually do multiple days in August and end up dehydrated and exhausted. But overdoing it for just one day will be fun, right?

Bummer my room is not included in the sale but I'm also not surprised. I thought I would take a look at the Contemporary just to see. It would cost us a bit more and we would lose space, I was told no by the others, so we just stay where we are at.

Wow, big difference between Beach Club and All Stars! I've never stayed at either, but if you are considering staying at a value, take a look at Pop or AoA. The skyliner is really a game changer!

We are staying at the Riviera from 8/10-8/16, renting DVC points. This will be our second DVC stay, we stayed at BLT in 2022.

We actually get in on the 9th and will be staying one night in a Disney Springs area hotel--not sure which one yet. I made the error of booking the resort before flights. When I went to book the flights, flying a day earlier saved HUNDREDS of dollars. Because we are renting points, we can't change the dates. I guess I could book just one night through Disney, but I've never stayed at a DS area hotel and think it might be fun. We don't get in until 3 and it will be nice to just jump over to DS and grab dinner and a drink.

We are contemplating the After Hours at Epcot on 8/14. We've never done one before, except for the Boo Bash back in '21 at MK. I wonder if it's worth it.

We are trying both Epcot and HS After Hours this trip. We have only ever done MK and loved it.
