***Offical August 2025 Thread***

I booked Labor Day Weekend again for this year, Aug 28 - Sept 2. This time at the Swan, the AP discount is looking extra nice. Very excited as what is usually a solo weekend for me will have my gf joining me this time since she upgraded to an AP on our fall trip.

Have a Wednesday to Wednesday in the first half of August coming up. Sharing a 2 bedroom at AKL with my sister though my wife and I are thinking of coming a day early to do a night in a savannah view Studio.

We're coming back to Pop Century this year from 30 July to 13 August, I'm only allowed to look at Skyliner resorts.

That’s a really bad time of year to be on the Skyliner imo. Do they know it’s virtually guaranteed to go down every afternoon and Epcot specifically is a clown show of random contingency procedures for Skyliner guests?

We weren't sure if we could swing it this year, but we're booked now with the discounts. Aug 17-29. 2 rooms at the All Star Sports for the 5 of us. Back on property for the first time in 9 years. Celebrating a 25th wedding anniversary and a 21st birthday for our oldest. Doing the 2500 mile round trip drive for the third time.

We stayed at Pop from Aug 10 to Aug 16 of last year and the Skyliner going down only impacted us once when we were at DHS. The bus was pretty easy and quick, though.

I think the Skyliner going down is a real concern, but I wouldn't avoid a skyliner resort because of it. Staying at the Riviera Aug 9 to Aug 15 this summer so we'll see if that changes my perspective!

I am probably in the minority on this but I really wish the ADR's would go back to 180 days. I need something to do now! So lets talk ADR's what is on your list for this trip? Here is our list:

50's Primetime
*Woody's Backyard BBQ (was going to be Mama Melrose but now that will be gone)
San Angel
Garden Grill
*Las Hacienda De San Angel
Yak & Yeti (2 times)
Biergarten
Skipper Canteen
Tony's
*Homecomin
Hoop De Doo

* = New for us

DHS isn’t the problem—the Skyliner station is next to the bus depot so it’s no big deal. Epcot is always a cluster though because they never have the same procedure. Sometimes they send Skyliner guests to BC or BWI for buses. Sometimes they send them to the Epcot depot, clear on the other side of the park from the IG. And it’s always very poorly communicated. Guess wrong and you’re looking at an obscene walk. This has been the case every single time I’ve been to Epcot in the Skyliner era.

I don’t mean to scare you but have a plan B for getting home on your Epcot days.

We also are trying Roundup Rodeo BBQ now that Mama Melrose is closing.

We're mainly sticking to our favorites with some picky eaters and most places with a 10% Disney Visa discount:
Biergarten
Sci Fi Dine-in
Liberty Tree
Crystal Palace (Want to get last breakfast seating, so we can get lunch)
Kona Cafe (We stayed at the Polynesian for our Honeymoom 25 years ago)
Yak & Yeti (Free gift cards with Discover cash back)

Our Yak & Yeti is being paid for with our gift cards we earned through Fetch! We love Yak & Yeti. Really like when we get to sit upstairs next to the windows.

Anyone else going nuts waiting for news on refurbs and openings? Test Track, Hall of Presidents, Bugs, Villains show, Little Mermaid show, Starlight parade. Also, will Cosmic Rewind and Tiana still have virtual queues? Will Tron join early entry?

Some of these can have a big impact on touring plans.

We really enjoyed it when we went, around when it first opened, but we went before they cut a couple of the sides off the menu.

I tend not to do a ton of ADRs on my Labor Day trips because I'm usually not very hungry when it's very hot out in the parks. I am also kind of waiting to see if we're able to get Destination D23 tickets before I make any concrete scheduling plans. But depending on how much we enjoy Cake Bake Shop on our May visit we will probably check it out again.

Definitely. It doesn't help that we are a big group going, so everyone's priorities are different. Fun, fun, fun. Add in if Rockin Rollercoaster will be open or not (I'm betting on we have some time just like they are keeping Dinosaur open in AK. As Muppet Courtyard will have just closed but you never know!). I know that is one of my grandson's favorite and already told me he wants to go on it with me.

We are on the Quickservice dining plan so I didn't think we would be doing too many, if any sit downs. However, just talked to DH today and apparently he wants to do the "colonial place" (i.e. Liberty Tree Tavern).

I know my youngest wants to eat at Rainforest Cafe but the plan is to do that on arrival day at Disney Springs depending on when we get there (we are driving so we never know exactly when we will arrive).

Not sure where I am staying. My first solo trip ever!

I don't know why the app can't be updated to it can advise when the Skyliner is down. We went in August before, walked from the front of EPCOT to the back for Skyliner only to be told it was down and had to go allllll the way back to the front for the bus. I know even if they did that it could be listed as open but then be closed when you get there, but it would certainly be a help

Currently booked for mid-August at Yacht club thanks to a great bounce back offer. Never been there before but excited for walking distance to Epcot and HS and the food options at boardwalks!
Looking at doing the buffet breakfast at Hollywood and Vine for the fantasmic dining package since mama melrose will be gone. Anyone had experience with this?

Anyone else in the planning rut with nothing to do for a bit?? Lol

Slight update for us...my daughter(13) and her friend were talking and how cool it would be to go together. We went out with her parents last weekend and they booked her flight right away. Our daughter is so excited and now we will be a group of 4 so no more riding alone for me.

The key is to have multiple trips planned, our big one is the end of May so I’m focused on that one right now! 😂 I am honestly still debating resorts bc of that, if I can manage to score a good bounceback offer I may just swap from Swan to a Disney resort for Labor Day weekend.

Yep! I have felt this for a while now. I have been kind of watching for any announcements about MNSHHP but it's a bit early for that. I also have another trip planned next year, so waiting for when 2026 dates come out for that.

Just slowly paying off my trip and watching the drama somewhat unfold with my siblings for the trip. Mostly on who is actually going and how are they going to get there. To be fair, my youngest just got a job and we aren't 100% sure he is going to be able to get the time off either. We won't know until end of April/May.

Today was super cold and WINDY so I made myself feel better by watching some resort reviews on my lunch break
