I voted for Diana and LaToya and never got a busy signal.

My top 3 this week: LaToya, Diana and Jasmine. I usually like George but he was off to me tonight. The other two just don't do it for me.

I have been voting and voting this time.

Diana was the best in tonite's competition. Is she latina? She got that latin beat in her.

The song did not suite Fantasia, she can do some latin dance, but she didn't have that latin rythm in her and so was George.

LaToya did ok and Jasmine was off key in some areas and John...I don't know what to say, I guess he did a little better this week. I won't be too surprise anymore if he makes it for the next round.

My prediction, bottom 3: John, Jasmine and ??

It took me 2 hours to get one call in for Fantasia.

Diana was good tonight but I just cannot vote for her. Ugh...

I so agree with Simon about John, he has handled all of this like a pro. It takes true perseverance for an adult to handle this kind of abuse, imagine an already emotional teenager.

Tonight was just a bad night... another one.

My kids voted all 2 hours for John. In that time they got through a total of 19 times. (They kept track) I didn't vote at all this week.

I would have voted for Diana, Jasmine and LaToya this week.

Planogirl...good for you for voting a lot this week. If you have a favorite you want to keep in that is what you have to do. Obviously 1 vote isn't going to do it.

I totally agreed with Simon when he said Fantasia sounded like Donald Duck on helium. I've thought all along like she sang as if she had just swallowed some helium. I really hope she goes. I think she was using the Jennifer props to get all of the Jennifer fans to vote for her. Oh, I hope it backfires!

ERGH! No power for about four hours tonight. I sure would have liked to have seen it - hopefully they'll show clips tomorrow.

Consider yourself lucky that you missed it. Not a good choice of music for most of the group. I feel that Diana did the best. Next would be LaToya. Downhill after those two.


The way the voting has been this year, it is anyone's guess who is in the bottom 3 and then who get kicked off.

I did see some of ET last night and saw Jennifer singing and Paula there with her. I guess that is AI way of giving Jennifers career a little push.

I still don't know why I keep watching this show. There have been so few good nights on the show. I do notice that there is less conversation at work on Wed mornings about the show compared to last year. I think it is becoming more of a habit to watch it because there just isn't anything else on to watch. That or it gives me something to complain about.

...ALOT less talk about Idol the next day for sure! Not sure if some of the blame lies with the judges and the auditions or what.....but this group is a real doozy.
Listening to JS last night was painful--he was off key so much and I was embarrased for him.
Even the applause last night was down--frankly, this session of Idol sucks and they had better get talented individuals through the audition round next session or it will go out with a whimper.

The Morning Show that I listen to always recaps AI on Wednesday mornings.

This morning, they played audio clips from the show, including one from Fantasia.

One of the guys commented that he finally figured out who she sounds like.... Nell Carter.

I would never have thought of that "watching her," but just "listening to her" - oh my goodness - she really DOES sound like Nell Carter...

Anybody else ever notice that?!?

I saw JPL, also saw Matt Rogers, he was dancing to Diana's song. I thought Diana was fantastic last night. She outsang both of the divas. I do not care for Fantasias voice at all, but I do know that she is very good. Last night, however, I thought she was really off, so was LaToya in my opinion. I always like George. Jasmine started good, but then got real flat. John was just painful to listen too. But Simon was right about how he takes it like a man.

...thought it was my imagination! BTW, I didn't care for how many times Fantasia kept saying "This one's for you, Jennifer", "We're thinking of ya, Jenn!", etc.

Honestly, I was NOT impressed with last night's show....however, it will be very interesting to see who is in the BOTTOM 3 tonight!

Fantasia sounds like Nell Carter huh? I was thinking more like Macy Gray but now I'll have to listen again. I'm so glad Simon said some good things to little John Stevens, especially the part about him taking it like a man and wish others would do the same. I hope that the top three are LaToya, Jasmine and Diana. I don't care for Fantasia at all. Her voice annoys me and the fake admiration for Jennifer has got to go. It's funny how close they are not that Jennifer is not competition for Fantasia anymore! It'll be interesting to watch tonight. Hopefully we can get past all the racism comments this time around.

Even though JS was't very good, he'll be safe tonight. I think Simon's comments will help him tremendously. I think Fantasia "calling out" for Jennifer will hurt her in the long run. And did you notice she tried to get the mom vote by saying good things about Gloria being a mom too??? hmmm looking for the votes.

I was surprised by Elton John's remark. First he admitted he doesn't watch the show...so how can he make a statement like that? This is the first time all 3 were in the bottom...I thought it was more like the older group against the younger group.

Of course it is more publicity for the show! I wonder how the ratings were last night...and how many phonecalls they will announce tonight.

Elton John I'm sure he watches the show as much as the Queen of England does.

Last night Diana did the best with the singing; her dress reminded me of a car wash, tho....

LaToya's dancing was great, she was beautiful, but her singing lost a little because I'm guessing she's not used to dancing and singing at the same time.

George was all over the place, and his bug eyes and bouncing were distracting...and I LIKE him.

Fantasia can sing, but her attitude continues to annoy the stuffing outta me. The shout-outs, the mom thing...she'd make a helluva politician!

Jasmine was kind of shaky in spots.

Poor John - he does take it like a man, and he's a nice kid with manners, but it's time to let him go already. He's already guaranteed a spot on the tour...he's being humiliated on stage and in the media. It would be kinder of his fans to let him go, but I'm sure he'll be around another week.
