I can't BELIEVE John wasn't in the bottom 3!!!
He knew he should've been there. And Camile should've been in there, too.
What is America thinking?

Wow, I can't believe that.

LaToya being in the bottom 3 was just bizarre. The look on John Stevens face said he knew he should've been over there and he just looked so sad.

Amy wasn't the best last night but she was FAR from the worst in my book.

Camille, JPL and John Stevens should've been the bottom 3 I think based on last nights performances.

I agree, poor John S could they have shown any more close-ups of the poor kid. Why wasn't the camera shoved in Camille's face. I think her ego will go thru the roof now

Amy did NOT deserve to get the boot tonight. Camille should have been drug off that couch and kicked out on the street. This just sucks big ole honkers.

I think it was cruel to keep showing John Stevens' reaction. I also thought it was cruel to keep bringing up the Jay Leno resemblance thing with Amy. I thought she handled it well.

Tonights result show was a big surprise and a terrible disappointment. AI needs to rethink the voting process.

Did anyone else notice that Camile is always wearing a mad/mean face? I don't like her at all.

Jennifer makes some strange faces too,and she scares me. Go home Jennifer!

Whoever said George is like a wiggly excited puppy you hit the nail on the head!

I'am betting George wins the crown!

Seeing John Steven's reaction tonight reminded me a lot of Josh Gracin last year. Both knew they hadn't been performing well, and they both expected to be in the bottom 3. Yet, when neither of their names were called, they both had that, "That should be me" look on their face (and rightfully so).

I thought Amy was one of the better performers last night, and she definately should not have been booted off. I agree with the others so far that the bottom 3 should have been Camille, John Stevens and Jon Peter Lewis (what's up with his dancing?!).

I'm now anxious to see what'll happen next week.

I find it hard to believe that teeny boppers are voting over and over again. I wouldn't have wasted my time when I was a kid but who knows I guess.

I expected the bottom three to be John S, Jennifer and Camille. And I thought that John S would be the one to go. Camille is only so-so but I refuse to dislike her because of her expressions.

By the way, Amy was consistently a favorite of mine.

I agree. I was also thinking the exact same thing about John Stevens and Josh Gracin from last year.

I also can't believe the bottom 3 and that Amy was the one to go. What is going on? All the boards and threads that I keep checking about AI had moslty the same 3 picked for the bottom 3 John S, JPL, and Camile. With John S or Camile going.

This show is becoming more painful to watch each week. It just hasn't been the same as AI2. I couldn't wait from week to week to watch the next show. It was so much more enjoyable. I need to stick to watching The Apprentice and give up on AI.

Couldn't agree more Mrsv98! Oh Puh - LEEZ!! It's obvious that this show is no longer about singing talent - it's about sympathy votes and cute little boys

I'll be very surprised if the three judges don't see it the same way, and call this their last season.

If the producers don't find a way to make the public judging more reflective of the show's intent, IMHO, AI will become no better than that Cheesy Star Search.

Does anyone else think Paula and Simon have been getting a little cozy this year? Did you notice his arm on the back of her chair tonight?? Haven't seen any mention of Simon's girlfriend, Teri, for quite some time....

I just can't believe what I was hearing tonite!! It's not about singing/performance anymore, I think it's about popularity. The bottom 3 should have been Camille, JPL and JS.

I honestly thought that JS will be booted out tonite. He was awfull last nite! JS knew he should have been in the bottom 3. On the look of his face, he was shock.

I think Camille got the whole Islands of Hawaii and probably the Asians, especially the Filipinos! She may just stick around for a little while...there is no way no how she could become an American Idol, her voice does not compare to LaToya or Fantasia nor Jasmine which BTW are my 3 favorites!!

So what is the next theme?

People really shouldn't complain about who's in the bottom 3, especially if you didn't place all your votes towards that person you were upset about. This is how America is voting, and if you don't like it, then do something about it and vote for the one person you don't want gone!

The reason John and Camile weren't in the bottom 3 is because their fans knew they didn't do too well and voted like crazy to keep them in!

It seems like people like John Stevens and JPL have their own big fanbases. There are a lot of people who vote for John Stevens and only him, or JPL and only him. As with the rest of the people, I see people saying "I split my votes between Diana, Fantasia, George and Jasmine," or something like that. Most people that vote for JS or JPL only spend their whole time voting for them. Most of the others don't have their own fanbases, which is why JS and JPL will probably be safe for awhile.

And I think it's ridiculous when people say that the "teenyboppers" should stop voting for John Stevens. First of all it's not only young teens that vote for him, a lot of older people like his style of music too. Second, teenagers buy the majority of the albums anyway. And third, no one should be told who they can and can't vote for. If they like the way someone performs, they're gonna vote for them! If you don't like how John Stevens sings your going to have to deal with it, because obviously their are many people that do like him.
