well..so far the judges have told everyone they suck. Paula too. Randy and Paula are meaner this year. I also think that the singers suck more this year.
does anyone agree?

I do agree that this year's top 12 nowhere near compares with last year's.

Well....I got home from school to see that my vcr didn't tape the show....but I was able to catch Jennifer's performance and the quick recap at the end..I'm not sorry that I missed it now.

Just hope this week that someone that really stunk will get booted off!

Let me try to remember...

Fantasia sang "The Way You Look Tonight" - she's a jerk, but she did a great job

John Peter - "Rocket Man" - ugh - butchered it

Camile - can't remember which one she did either - but it was BAD

JS - "Crocodile Rock" - he finally got loose, but was terribly off-key

Jennifer - "Circle of Life" - good

George - "Take Me To The Pilot" - Outstanding!

Diana - "I'm Still Standing" - OK, but not her best (I think she was sick based on Paula's comment about her not being healthy today)

LaToya - "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" - pretty good

Jasmine - Can't remember which song, but not her best night

All in all, it wasn't a great night for the AI hopefuls. Let's hope things get better next week.

Camille sang Yellow Brick road...not a favorite of mine..but she did it so bad it was painful to listen to! Jasmine sang "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" She started out really nice, but then she started forcing and got a little off key.

Bottom 3 will (or should be) Camille, JPL and probably John S. (even though I thought John S. actually showed some personality tonight and even if he didn't sing the greatest he was fun to watch). Camille better be gone!

Fantasia..did a good job, but I still am not crazy about her and the way she slurs words. AND she made another of her comments after Simon criticized her...very tacky IMO. Every one else takes the critique without saying anything.

George...another good performance with his bouncy dance and big grin. I like his voice, he has been the most consistant..but he stands there with that big dopey grin on his face all the time and he reminds me of Gomer Pyle.

LaToya..the song did not do her voice justice.

JPL...YUCK tonight.

Jennifer...I also thought she was a Disney Cruise ship person. Did a good job on the song..but I can't watch her.

Diana..nice job..but she has to stop saying "come on" for the audience with every song she sings.

There is no one that I am actually pulling for to win this year. Last year by this time I was clay all the way and the year before I was a Kelly Clarkson fan.

If Fantasia (I love how Simon says her name) LaToya and Jennifer don't win..Elton will get them a record deal. He made the comment that he would sign them to a deal now.

No guest judge, but Elton was there during rehearasals and they showed him giving a small critique of each persons performance before they sang.

I liked Simon's comments to JPL tonight. Rude, but true, he said he could use voice lessons. I had been thinking the same thing, there's a really neat tone in his voice, but he's not consistent at getting it out. If he could control it and use it consistently, he'd be awesome.

I've always liked Fantasia, yeah, she's got that in your face personality, and talks back to Simon, but I've noticed that she also listens to him and improves her performances.

And George!!! I just love him, I love his voice.

I though Diana sounded kind of... disco tonight. Jennifer blew everyone away. Reminded me of Kim Locke and Over the Rainbow last year.

Tonight was kinda blah, George, Latoya and Jennifer were great, Diana and Jasmine did good also, just not outstanding. JPL, John Stevens and Camille need to go. I know they work with vocal coaches during the week, why doesn't someone tell Camille that her "shaky" voice thing makes her sound terrible? I know part of it is done on purpose but it makes it sound terrible. JPL and JS sound like high school talent show performers, JPL is a mix of kermit the frog and the mad magazine dude, yuck. Fantasia....while she CAN sing, her personality and voice irk me to no end. I would never be able to listen to a cd all the way through of that voice, it grates my nerves. I'm still rooting for George and Latoya since neither of them has done an awful performance yet. I don't get how JPL and JS can sing off-key and pitchy yet still squeak by every week. Darn popularity contests.

I wish I could like JPL because he seems like such a neat, fun person but I think his voice is so average.

Jon Stevens needs to go. He's just way in over his head. Maybe I'm just in a grumpy mood tonight but he annoyed me. Didn't he even sing a couple of words wrong in the song?

Diana & Camille's outfits were ugly. I like Diana though. I think Camille will go tomorrow.

I didn't see what the judges were raving about when LaToya sang. I usually like her but thought tonight was bad.

Don't usually like Fantasia but in comparison she is standing out.

Loved Jennifer and the whole Disney connection! I thought Jasmine was good too and was surprised they gave her so much criticism. And I like George. Reminds me of Gomer too!

Don't these people have anyone to help them choose a proper song? I swear there must be something more suitable to their styles.

Interesting tidbit in the new People magazine (the 30th anni issue). Apparently, JPL has become the "heartthrob" of the group. It said that there are mobs of teenage girls waiting for him after every performance. They may keep him around even if he isn't nearly as talented as George, LaToya or Jasmine.

Well, a few weeks ago when they did her profile and talked about her working on a cruise ship, they flashed several pictures of her in front of the RCCL ship Radiance of the Seas, and there was definitely a picture of her on that ship's stage. I will admit that I just assumed from that she worked for RCCL since they have never stated which line it was. But as for other cruise lines doing Disney songs, they do it all of the time. There is even an "Under the Seas" black light puppet show done occasionally on RCCL ships that uses Little Mermaid songs and is very similar to the MGM Studios show.

I live 10 minutes from Amherst NY and I have no problem with rooting for the "hometown" kid (Jon Stevens) but, he has no place in this competition. He should have been in the bottom 3, the last 2 weeks. Remember the first week he forgot the words to "king of the road?" Last week he was terrible and last night he was horrendous! Simon was right last week when he said "this is what happens when you leave it in the hands of America." My bottom three - JPL, Jon Stevens and Camile. Jennifer Hudson rocked and George Huff kicked butt. He gives us guys, our only legitimate contender and can ensure that it will not be an all-female top five!

I don't like this season at all. None of them are fantastic and I am not really in anyone's corner. Last night was terrible for the most part I thought. They have a week to practice with a coach and if this is the end result then all I could say is "OH MY".

With that said, George was very good, but I agree with another poster who mentioned that grin. He sort of reminds me of a deer in the head lights and I'm not keen on that squat dance he does.
I do like his voice though although last night was a bit preachy to me.

I agree that Diana needs to stop that "come on" thing she does with every song. It grates on my nerves.

I think Fantasia is very good, but I don't care for the tone of her voice, it's squeaky or something, I can't put my finger on it.

Jasmine was good, but when she hit a few notes, it just made me cringe. In particular was when she got to the "me" in the song, boy was that way off or what?

La Toya was good.

Jennifer was good last night, but I got to thinking that she perhaps sung that song many many times before, therefore having the advantage. She does have a good voice, but I have not been overly thrilled in past weeks. And I don't much care for her personality either.

As for the rest of them, Oh brother! JPL makes me feel embarrassed for him, and the surprise look when he gets critiqued just kills me. Does he really think he sounds good?

Poor John Stevens, he is way over his head here. He's young and has not had the training that Diana has had for instance. He is trying very hard but I don't think that this is the venue for him.

As for Camille, Good Bye already! She is the Teflon Don. She should have been gone weeks ago. I honestly can't think of one thing I like about her. I also wonder who is voting for her. She can't sing IMO.

So basically I like George and LaToya (who looked beautiful last night, BTW) the best.

I think this group is the worst so far, I'm quickly losing interest in this show. Latoya was good, but I've seen her do better. George was good too, Diana was ok. I thought everyone else was terrible! Camille, JPL, John Stevens, Fantasia, Jennifer and Jasmine, all blah! I can't believe Camille, JPL and John Stevens are still there and Fantasia was horrible, worst I've ever heard her. I wonder who wil go tonight?

George has got to cut down on the bouncing. I was getting queasy watching him. The cameras would eventually pan back so they could catch him better, but there is too much bounce.

I felt so bad for John Stevens last night! He finally tried to "come out of his shell" and try something different and all he got for it was grief! Granted, he was TERRIBLE..... but let's give the kid a little credit for trying!! I have certainly not been a fan of his, but I did feel really bad for him last night. I think it was probably hard for him to do what he did (bopping and singing) and he at least deserves an "atta boy" for the attempt. That said, I did not vote for him... not even a sympathy vote!................P

The highlight of the evening for me was when Elton John said "Latoya in the bottom 3 last week? It must be idiots that are voting!"

John Stevens is cute and everything, but that Dean Martin/Frank Sinatra finger snapping thing has got to stop. He needs to go NOW.

Jennifer was actually great last night, it looks like she tried to control the weird facial movements.

JPL and Camile were awful, Jasmine, Latoya and George were pretty good as well. Jasmine did hit a few bad notes though.

It seems to me that Paula was much more critical last night than she has been in the past. I also noticed that Simon was allowed to finish his thoughts, except by the audience members. Ryan also seemed to tone down his remarks toward Simon. It makes youj wonder if they are starting to listen to the public.

The one thing that drives me absolutely nuts though is Randy's "Wassup Dawg" and "Props, Man" stuff. What intelligent, grown man speaks like that?

I am surprised that Jennifer was on RCL because I know for a fact she was on DCL last summer on the Wonder--I've seen a photo of her on the cruise boards with another poster after "Disney Dreams", done up in the african tribal garb after singing--you guessed--in the "Lion King" part of the show. Barb(Inkognito) knows her as well from all of her Wonder cruises.

I COMPLETELY agree with you about the way Randy speaks. It drives me NUTS!! He doesn't sound cool.... he sounds stupid (just my opinion of course ).....................P
