Offical 2003 Stanley Cup Finals thread (Finals start on Pg. 17)

Ha! He never should have left Montreal. But, with all the Leafs injuries, I can't believe they can afford to just let him seat out the rest of the playoffs.

well the Bruins got one, but that was to be expected, everyone let off even after taling about how they couldn't afford to give the Bruins any life. While I'm not worried about the series, I didn't like to see it.
Dallas played well, and got a big win last night, as did TB.
Lets hope the Islanders can grab one at home tonight, and that the chicken wings bow out in a sweep.

I wonder if the defending cup champs have ever been swept in the 1st round before.

Corson apparently has some emotional problems that are affecting his game. But getting to the real problem, Almo (Mogilny) is out for tonight's game with what sounds like a concussion from the high stick to the chin. I think that the high stick is going to hurt the Leafs a lot more than it hurt Almo.

GO STARS GO!!!

We won last night's game!!! So tomorrow night we're back in Dallas and hopefully with the home field advantage we'll win the next two for the series :)

Yeaaa Flyers!!! Oh my God, I was ready to have a nervous breakdown. :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

Cujo, Cujo, Cujo ................. hahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!

(sorry, Leafs fans are pointing and laughing)

I still can't believe it about the Wings!!! Was hoping to wake up this am and it be a dream (nightmare, actually).

SAY IT AIN"T SO!!!!!!!!!!! Ah- what a series the Ducks played- guess I have to root for them now!

Here's a stat for you, Giguere stopped 165 of 171 shots the Red Wings took at him for a .965 save percentage. That's utterly rediculus!! One word of caution Ducks fans, Theodore did a similiar job on Boston and the first 2 and 2/3's games against Carolina before losing it last year. He hasn't been the same since. Let's hope for better things for JS Giguere.

Eisner must be giving out great bonus' for winning in the post-season, eh? First the Angels and now the Ducks (of course, if the Ducks win the Stanley Cup, he'll sell them next season...sigh).

Hey, let's give a call out to the Tampa Bay Lightning for coming back to tie the series at 2 games apiece. Now, can they win at home?

So, let's see, the Ottawa Senators can put away the Islanders tonight. NJ Devils can do the same to the Bruins. Dallas and Edmonton have a pivotal game tonight. I still like the Stars in this one to be seen on ESPN2 at 7:30pm.

I love this time of year!!!!!!!!!!

GO STARS!!!

We won again tonight! That puts us one game ahead. I sure hope we win the next game. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

The Dallas/Edmonton series have always been great. Very physical games. I'm glad they won tonight but have to question Laraque & what he's trying to do. That's 2 cheap shots in two games he's dished out. Now here's hoping the Stars can wrap it up in game 6, get a couple days rest, then head to the next round. :)

JSG was certainly standing on his head. I think he may lose his steam when he faces the Stars.

How Laraque (or Cross for that matter) hasn't been suspended yet is completely beyond me.

Congratulations, Devils fans!!!!!

At least it wasnt a sweep, so we have a little dignity left:rolleyes:, but Devils definitely out played the Bruins. They deserve the series.
I guess I can route for them now in hopes that Pandolfo will bring the cup back home again....its the only way Im gonna see it. ;)

Woo Hoo!!! The Stars won the series!!! That sure was a great game...very nerve-racking for both sides I'm sure. But now the Stars move on to play the Ducks. You know the most amazing part was we played six play-off games in row without having to go in to overtime once.

Well, my heart is beating at a normal rate after watching a very nerve racking hockey game. The Canucks got the big win tonight to force a game seven back home in Vancouver after being down 3 games to 1.

I have a really hard time watching playoff hockey sometimes. I have been known to fall off chairs and chew whatever is nearby (fingers, blankets, pens, anything). And tonight was definitely a nail biter. The 'Nucks were up 4-1 going into the third, and the Blues came back and scored two to make it 4-3. I sat there chewing on a blanket the last five or so minutes of the game.

But my boys pulled off the win, and they are going home to play game seven! Go 'Nucks!

It's been intense for sure. The playiffs usually are & this year hasn't disappointed.

How about the Lightning!!!!

DS is a huge fan, and we just happen to be going to New York next weekend so that he can visit NYU. So, we're going to see about getting tickets if there is a Saturday night game in New Jersey!
