I know it's been said a million times, but here goes 1 million and 1:
I really wish VMK opened before 10am. Here I am with lots of time on my hands. Neither child woke up until now. I could have spent the last 3 hours in VMK.

LOL
I was thinking the same thing this morning. My littlest gets up REALLY early and on the weekends we have to wait for everyone else to get up. He loves to 'help me' by moving the mouse and clicking. (he would probably do better than me moving aroundon in the Haunted Mansion game!)

AND I think the Gremlin that messes up the kitchen while you sleep is the same I that appears to like to steal ONE of each of my kids socks.

people awesome possums have invaded the earth help!! before everyone is turned in to a awesome possum !!

Ahhhhh....the sock snatcher. Yes, I am familiar with him, too. He rears his head so much that we wind up buying DS all new socks every few months

ARG!!!

I swear my Christmas decorations multiply overnight, night after night, year after year.....

Mine did this year; I bought quite a bit of new ornaments. I love Christmas and Christmas decorations.

And in addition to the 7-foot live tree in the living room and the 3-foot "Santa Claus" tree in the computer alcove, we added 2 new 3-foot trees, and a tiny 1-foot silver tensile tree with 1950s rocket and robot ornaments for my husband library.

That sock gremlin comes into my laundry way too often! Must be the water making him multiply??

Our Christmas decorations stay up until Jan 6th.

I go to Dunkin Donuts everyday to get my Extra Large Hot Tea with Cream and Sugar. It is the same DD and the same people I see everyday.

Why is it that out of the four days during the week I visit them half of the visits my order is messed up? (Not Extra Large or No Sugar or No Cream or maybe even a coffee.) Coffee and Extra Large are now easy to catch - the other two are not. Yes, I know why bother going there - but it is on the way to the office. :)

It is almost like a way to inform me of how my day is expected to be. Thanks for listening.

Also, the sock gremlin came to visit. I have a mountain of socks that have no pairs - do you think he takes socks from house to house just to mess with us? :)

DD scares me. First, I must admit to being a coffee snob. I spent my teenage years in Seattle and my Starbucks addiction began at 12 :guilty: My parents were sure I would hate coffee, instead, I loved it! Later, I even worked on the management team at a Starbucks LOL.

Flash back to this past June....we planned on hitting Starbucks on our way out of town for fuel for the road. We actually got up and out of the house early, before Starbucks was even open. We decide to just go to DD. I decided it couldn't be THAT bad, right? I ordered a plain, non-fat latte. How hard is that? No sugar, nothing weird, just non-fat. What I got was a hot chocolate with tons of whipped cream  (DH wound up drinking it and saying it was the most awful hot chocolate he'd ever had) I tried to drink DH's Frappucino like thing, but it too was pretty bad. We don't have a DD around my house now, not sure if there's even one here at all....but word to the wise...Krispy Kreme gets it wrong just as much. Must be a donut shop thing ;)

. . . how I feel about Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville in New Orleans. And yes, it survived Katrina. The Spaniards were smart enough to build on HIGH ground.

- do you think he takes socks from house to house just to mess with us?

I have a few that definitely don't belong here. Are you missing a Power Rangers tube sock or a Hello Kitty footie? Looks to be about kid's size 5.

I heard recently that most of our values are influenced by the media more than any other outlet. I doubted that until this week. My toddler has been going around the house shouting, "die...die". Where did he get this? From tv Mike on starwarskid's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

It use to be books. A small child was influenced more by books then by what happened around him, which was why parents were told to only buy "good" books for the small fry.

My own childhood life wasn't very good and books were my escape for many years.

My DS got a few choice phrases from Spongebob. Seems that if Spongebob does it, it must be okay  Now instead of Spongebob it is more reading. He has to earn TV time. Every minute of reading gets him a minute of TV. Of course, now that DH isn't working late so much anymore, we'll see just how long that lasts.

So....this is WAY off topic...but I just discovered I can make a sound like the American Indians used to.

I just got excited after DH told me one of our fave shows is going to be making a movie...RENO 911 I heart you!!!

Anyways, so I made this sound...and my DH said it sounded like I was going to battle! :rotfl2:

On VMK, have you ever thought, wow, these people must be speaking a different language? And what's with the strange spelling? How can I ever learn to fit in, to sound like the natives?

I've learned the secret, and here it is.

For example, here's the above, sent through the translator:
ON VMK HAEV U 3V3R THOUGHT WOW TH3SE PEOPLE MUST B SPAAKNG A DIFERANT LANGUAEG?!?!!! OMG LOL AND WUT WIT TEH STRANG3 SPALNG????!!!?! HOW CAN I EVER LEARN 2 FIT IN 2 SOUND LIEK TEH NATIEVS
IVA??!!!!?! LOL LEARNAD DA SACR3T AND HARE IT IS1!!1! ***

I also came across a (preliminary) pirate translator, which yielded:
Aye, on Vmk, have you e'er thought, wow, these people must be speakin' a diffarnt language? And what's with the strange spellin'? How can Me e'er learn t' fit in, t' sound like the nati'es?

I''e learned the secret, and har it is. Ye'll ne'er get me buried booty!

OK, OK, say what you're thinking -- "You really need to get a life."

Here is a picture of CapElDano because he felt the need to be posted somewhere lol.

I really think I need to get a high speed internet connection back. I haven't been on VMK for about a week...and I'm almost suffering withdrawals. And the fact that our family's computers are pretty much going crazy at the moment isn't helping me. Add the fact that half of the music that I had ripped into my computer was corrupted by ID3 editing software...right now I'm singing along to my A Chorus Line cast recording.

I've been missing all of ya'll on VMK lately. My best friends this week have been my copy of The Great Gatsby, my calculus book, my history book.

UGHHH, calculus!! Bad memories surfacing. I sure hope calculus is easier for you than it was for me.

Sorry your computer's acting up and hope you get high speed internet back in a hurry.

Ok - consumer warning for people shopping for vacuum cleaners.

If you have a dog - do not buy a bagless vacuum cleaner. It is a pain to clean - the hoses get clogged with hair. Not fun.

question if i talk about VMK on here will it be off topic or on topic?
