Oddly enough, it turns out that Thomas Jefferson is responsible for bops, shams, doo wops, and other nonsensical pop lyrics. Seems he scribbled all that stuff down in the margins of the Declaration of Independence as he tried to get the ink flowing on his quill. Sort of like literary scribbles.

This daddy's in trouble (again). A few weeks ago, I put DD3yo's (clean) underwear on DD15mo's head. Hey, Stitch did it at the closing credits, right?

Well, now it's weeks later and DD15mo still goes through the laundry and sticks underwear on her head. DW is wondering how long this fashion statement is going to continue, and is shooting me nasty looks every time DD15mo does it. (She tried to remove the "hat", and DD15mo started crying.)

And yes, DD15mo still likes eating shoes and socks.

She has very odd fashion tastes.

For the last 3 weeks, the local paper has been running an ad for MINIATURE DONKEYS. Is this a housepet? What exactly do you do with one? They are also registered, so I suppose you can show them?? I still find this very strange and every time I see it. Sad thing is, the donkeys are cheaper than the puppies we've been looking at.

DS (13 months old) likes to crawl under the computer. We leave the cord for the camera connected to the computer for downloading pictures. When we are out of the room, he will grab the other end of the cord and stick it in his mouth. The computer pop up says "Unrecognizable USB Device".

My son has a future as a peripheral device.

Sounds like he needs a new driver, though. And at 13 months old and winter approaching, he's going to have a lot of viruses too.

Magical Disney moment happened to us today. Dh and I took our toddler to MGM Studios. We went to see Sorc Mickey. Our little one hugged him and squeezed his nose. He posed for pics. As we were getting ready to leave, I started putting his jacket on him. He began to fuss. Mickey came over to us and helped. Then he took our little guy by the hand, and they walked hand-in-hand. It didn't take long for other kids to come flocking to Mickey, but it was so great that they shared that magical moment!

I've been thinking about that whole princess hat thing. Everyone is going around saying, oh they released it by mistake, yada, yada.. I truly wonder if that was a mistake though. It just doesn't seem very likely that it could be a mistake. The only way for it to be is that whomever is in charge of adding items to the shops, for some reason thought they were supposed to put it out, then someone else (in the know) saw later that it was there and told them to pull it. But why?
Was it really harmful for the item to be there? What difference does it really make? I'm beginning to really wonder about the motivation behind new items, lands and games in VMK. Oh to be a fly on the wall in a VMK staff meeting..

Staff 1 : We need to release costumes for halloween
Staff 2 : Great, will we release all the new ones we've teased them with on the testers?
Staff 1: Heck no! Lets release just two or three new ones, and then bring back the ones they've already seen and own.
Staff 3: Which new ones then?
Staff1 : Well, since it is Halloween, I guess we sort of have to give them the haunted mansion suit, we’ll just release two colors, not all three. We’ll also release the blue princess dress, since we sort of fell asleep on releasing it to coincide with the Cinderella DVD.
(Everyone laughs)
Staff 1: Oh, and lets not forget that handsome yellow explorer suit.
Staff 2: Oh yes, they love to dress and play as explorers! They must, why else would they play jungle cruise more than any other game we have?
Staff 3: Is it time for the princess hat too?
Staff 1: Hmm.. I can’t decide on that yet, are we sure we’ve done enough testing on boys wearing it?
Staff 3: Yavn says that his boy testers wear it every chance they get, especially when alone in their secret rooms.
Staff 1: And all is ok with it?
Staff 3: He says it needs just a little more testing, more widespread in the game.
Staff 1: Ok, lets do this then, lets release it for about an hour in the daytime, that way our boy adult players will flock to buy it, especially after we plant a post on the dis boards and the fan site. If it does ok, we release it officially, but don’t be specific about when.
Staff 3: This is going to be a great week!
(everyone nods in agreement, patting each other on the back)
