We are off to see the Big Cheese himself.

The surpise for my son didnt go very well. The poor kid hates to fly. He was cool with it until he realized he had to fly and then he freaked out.

He will do fine

Will be trick or treating in Disney tomorrow

See ya

Thanks for all the tips and help

Have a great time!! I have always wanted to suprise our kids, but I am such a planner they would figure it out so we have never done it. I know that you all will have so much fun. At least he doesnt have to worry about the plane ride for too long. Have a magical vacation!!! :wave2:

I too would have loved to be able to surprise my kids but I get more excited than they do and it would have been impossible. My son told me just today that I spend more time at this website than he does on his PS2. :rolleyes1 I just want to make sure I'm as prepared as I can be! :)

Have a wonderful time on your trip!!

We surprised our son with a trip over his 8th birthday. We didn't tell him until we were on the way to the airport. He cried!! He was so mad at us because he had already imagined what he wanted to do on his birthday and Disney was not in his dream. When we told him he'd still get to have a party with his friends and do all the things he planned when we got back he was still upset because he didn't want to miss "the part where you get excited about it". By the time we got to the airport he calmed down, and by the time we got to Orlando he was excited and we really had a great time... but there were some really tense moments there for a while. Go figure a kid who loves Disney being mad about a surprise like that! :confused3

He was fine on the plane. All that worry for nothing. Benedryl works wonders. He had no issues this time. He was worried but definately not freaking out like the last time he flew.

He was the most excited one of the bunch wanting to go here and there.

Alls well that ends well

We surprised my DS (he was 4) last visit. He thought we were joking, and got upset that (he thought) we were teasing him........so he called our bluff and said okay where are the suitcases, which I produced, at which point he turned into little mister hyper, and was so very, very happy. It was pretty close up to that point. Both DH and me thought it was about to backfire horribly!

Glad to hear that you're safe & sound, & that all went well on your trip. :)

Have a wonderful time, I can only imagine how much fun it must be for a kid to go trick or treating in WDW!
