Off to Neverland! Shhh..It's a Surprise! Goodbye Lemmondrops, we will never forget

Sounds like you had a wonderful time with the Dream CM and with the monorail driver. :goodvibes

Too bad about losing the pin. :guilty: You are right though, a lesson learned.

Hey V, Jen got a certificate:rotfl2:

What a lovely day you and your DS got to spend together. That is a shame about the pin, but as you said...it's a life lesson!

What a nice mommy/son time in MK! I love that Lil Diz asked the monorail driver for her autograph - that is awesome! It's all those little moments that make a Disney trip truely unique!

Last year a bus driver gave Sam a little plastic ring when she got off the bus and she thought that was the greatest thing - it made her entire day! :goodvibes

We had a blast. People stopped to watch and cheered us on. Lil’l Diz’s cars beat mine every time.
Sounds cute, maybe not a huge dream but sweet none the less :goodvibes

So sweet!

In the back of my head, the thought of loosing my “mom” at anytime never left me. I always thought of her, but was trying my best to keep moving forward with our special time together… just my ds’s and I.

It was then that Lil’l Diz asked me where I put his new pin that “the nice lady” gave him.
Uh oh, at least they tried to find it!

She posed for a quick photo outside of her cabin and gifted my ds with monorail licenses and a row of Mickey stickers as long as he was tall.
That is so sweet she sounded wonderful :goodvibes

That's a bummer about the pin, but it sounds like you had a wonderful time otherwise. That monorail trip sounds like such fun!

I thought you won the castle! ;)
I WISH! :)
Sounds like you had a wonderful time with the Dream CM and with the monorail driver. :goodvibes
It really was!

Hey V, Jen got a certificate:rotfl2:
Yippee! Another one to add to our collection! :thumbsup2

Those little things go such a long way with kids!
Sounds cute, maybe not a huge dream but sweet none the less :goodvibes
Something is better than nothing!
That monorail trip sounds like such fun!
My ds loved it! Every piece of magic adds up at Disney!

Although you try your hardest NOT to be disappointed… it is hard. You read and read about the amazing things that some people have won. This was our 2nd trip during the promotion and this was the biggest dream so far. We had missed bunches of cool dreams by a titch. Groups of people just before or after us had gotten late night special passes to stay in the parks and ride rides, dream fastpasses, free dinners and upgraded hotels.

i know how you feel. i've been to WDW 4 times since the year of a million dreams started (which has actually turned out to be the yearS of a million dreams!) and i haven't won squat. i have one more chance when we go back in december. i'm grateful that i get to go as often as i've been, but it would be nice to win something.

I watched and snapped some photos whilst he dodged ‘spit’, giggling, smiling, laughing and having a great time. I was so happy for my ds. He was in his element. I was enjoying our time spent together. In the back of my head, the thought of loosing my “mom” at anytime never left me. I always thought of her, but was trying my best to keep moving forward with our special time together… just my ds’s and I.

We got the best Monorail driver ever. She was so darn sweet. She made a huge deal over the birthday boy, which was extra special for him. She gave us a lot of special fun facts about both the parks and monorail, and best of all she showed us how fast the monorail can go by pushing the throttle to full speed. I forget the exact amount of seconds she was allowed to keep it at that speed. But she accidentally went over her allotted amount and the monorail came to a steady, yet complete STOP, because she missed it. It was a complete hoot. We all giggled as the monorail set still on the track for something like 30 seconds.

this is so cool!!!! we rode in the front of the monorail this last trip which was a first for me. it was at night which made it extra cool. we got on at the poly and actually rode around another time since there was no one else asking and we were in no rush. it was nice! but we never stopped on the track. that's too funny!

Before we departed the monorail, my ds asked the driver for her autograph. In my eyes she was a super special CM. In lil’l diz’s eyes she was at the top of his list, just like any another Disney Character. She was totally honored to give him her autograph and stated that it was her first one. No other child had ever asked.

this is just so cute!!!

Aww...what a great day at MK

Sorry you did not get a big dream, but still sounds great:goodvibes

I was really thinking they would just give him another pin to replace the one he lost, show some magic, but maybe they have to follow some sort of guidelines...But like you said, lesson learned.:goodvibes

Sounds like the monorail driver more than made up for it...What an awesome one and how sweet little Diz to ask for her autograph:lovestruc

Great update Jen! That is a tough break on the dream team - same sort of thing happened to us on our last day - the Honorary Lost Boy Certificates when the kids got off of Peter Pan and were asked some "really tough" ;) questions about Peter Pan! The dream team CM wrote "keep dreamin!" which I'm sure she met to be nice, but in hindsight was really funny ("yeah, we will!"...Thanks lady! ) Like you said though, every little bit of Disney magic is well appreciated! :lovestruc

Love the monorail driver story! So sweet! Sorry about the pin - I thought for sure the CMs in the office might do something!

Looking forward to hearing about the lightsaber! :goodvibes

What a great monorail driver you had, Jen! Last time my family got to ride in front, the driver guy looked bored to tears and didn't say a word to us the entire time. Luckily, DH knows all about the monorails and trains at WDW, so he entertained the girls with stories. We'll have to keep an eye out for the CM you had next month when we're there. Maybe we'll get lucky too!

Too bad about the dream. Last January when we were there (right at the beginning of the million dreams promotion), DH and DD4 (2 at the time) were sitting on a bench right by the big Christmas tree in the MK and a dream team member came up and sat by them and started asking all kinds of questions -- how long have you been here, when are you leaving, etc. When DH told him that we were on our way out of the park to head back to VWL to catch ME to the airport, he basically said, "oh, I'm sorry" and walked away. We still wonder what we would have won!:sad2:

i'm grateful that i get to go as often as i've been, but it would be nice to win something.
Here's to both of us winning a nights stay in the castle in Dec.!:thumbsup2 (wishful thinking, I know!)

same sort of thing happened to us on our last day - the Honorary Lost Boy Certificates when the kids got off of Peter Pan
Sara- I remember reading that in your TR and thinking... they got they same darn luck as us. Bummer huh? If I win a castle stay while you are there...I'll call and invite you to join us! (that is if you 3 want to hang in a castle with us). :)

Later in the trip...we did get that guy! :) (hopefully there is only one like that).

I really would have thought so too. But in the long run maybe whom ever picked it up... it made their day. :)

Great update! Your son is so adorable and you got some really good pics of him that show his expression. What a wonderful day you both had! I'm sorry he lost his pin.

Um....let me think about that for 1/2 a second! :rotfl2: I will be sending you our cell phone #s shortly! :rotfl: Oh wait...maybe I should check with Michelle and Monica about that - they might not want to stay in the castle! ;) :rotfl:

subbing to your TR. Me and my son are enjoying looking at the pics, he wants to go now too with no sissy or daddy

I am doing the same thing for my dh for our 40th anniversary-bringing all 10 family disers. We leave on Saturday and he doesnt have a clue! I'm so excited I can't stand it.

About time you got your butt over here! Glad you weren't the "Stalker!":)

Hey all stories need a Villain. Better not "act up" on that trip or you'll know just who you'll end up being. ;)

He did not do one of those Ballistic jump up and downs and go crazy things. He stayed calm and was more SHOCKED that he was going. We did curb side check in of our luggage and the men working struck up a conversation with him about being excited for WDW (saw the luggage tags). At that point he did a little jump up and down...but restrained himself a lot. Truly in shock!

I am loving all your updates. It really looks like you guys had a good time. I wonder if Disney will ever find your pin. Cannot wait to hear more..

I also want to know your itinerary for November. Maybe we can have a dismeet...

Oh wow, the story about the monorail driver was just wonderful. What a sweet lady. And how cute of your son to ask for her autograph!
Here's hoping you get a big ol' smackeroo of a dream on your next trip!! :wizard: Night in the castle, maybe!

What a wonderful day you both had!
I promise the most of the next days won't have so many updates. This day was really full of magic!
Um....let me think about that for 1/2 a second! :rotfl2:
The girls better not pass up that! One can only dream ... right! That would really be the most awesome thing ever!

YOU HAVE TO DO IT! I have got to tell you, this was such an awesome experience for the two of us. I really can't wait to do something like this again with him. I know I will be bringing my dd-TINK at some point too. It is just a great bonding time, that you would never forget!
