Traveling with DH in Oct, and he is not too keen on Resteraunts in the parks, and such, so give me some off site spots he would like. I know there is Bahama Breeze and others, but I would like some "other" choices, say pizza and sushi for example. Thanks!;)

I'm going to have to get out my notes. We like to go off property to save money, but have found we ended up with some nice meals also. I can't help with pizza or sushi because I don't get it in FL. (we have TONS of that here). If I find my info I will post it.

There are a ton of places off of 192...Pizza Uno, Chilis, Bennigans, KFC etc etc

Also off of International Drive.

Cafe TuTu Tango has always been a favorite of ours. Appetizer size portions and lots of fun. It's on International Drive - check out their website www.cafetututango.com.

Emeril's at Citywalk and Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific Resort are two of our favorites.

The Melting Pot is a fun experience for dinner.

Also, the B-Line Diner at the Peabody is a great breakfast/lunch joint!

I have heard great things about Le Peep.

And, if plain jane chain food is your desire there are of course tons of choices up and down I-Drive.

we tried several off site places - one of our favorite is Seasons 52 -wonderful food and there are two locations
there are a couple of good restaurants in the town of Celebration (the community that Disney planned) - you can google Celebration and then check out the different restaurants there...also a small downtown area to walk around before or after dinner-
Perkins is a family friendly everyday kind of place as well ---
don't forget downtown disney- Earl of Sandwich is terrific and Wolfgang Puck Cafe and also Wolfgang Puck Express are good choices
portabellos is a very good italian restaurant at downtown disney and even House of Blues has several good items on their menu
Ming's is a good off site Chinese restaurant

Good Luck - let us know your reviews wherever you go!

I second Season's 52-very good. It is in Dr. Phillips about 15 minutes from DD. They also have a place called the Samba Room there with good Latin Food/drinks. Winter Park has some nice places like Beluga, White Wolf Cafe (casual), Houston's, Luma on Park, etc.. WP is about 1/2 hour up I4. The Palm (Prime beef) and Tchoup Chop at Universal are great. For sushi Seito in Celebration is nice. The Old Hickory steakhouse in the Gaylord Palms is really nice steak. Nine18 at the Grand Cypress just opened and looks great. Everglades in the Rosen Centre hotel is a favorite of ours. It is on IDrive. There is a great Indian place Dakshin in the Crossroads across from DD. Next to TGI Fridays.

As you can see there is NO shortage of restaurants in Orlando-lol.

We ate this trip at Carabbas (sp?). This was my MIL's favorite restaurant. Really nice Italian food...very filling. We enjoyed it very much...it was on 192 I believe.

Mmmmm..-thats good too. There is one on 192 up near AK and one near the Crossroads now.

We love Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville on CityWalk at Universal. It really makes you feel like you are on vacation! The music and the margarita volcano are great!

And Emeril's is there too. Delish!

For a sports pub type of place, nothing beats Orlando Ale House.

What she said. Lot's of places to eat! It's hard not to find a great place to eat on Restaurant Row Sandlake Dr. Phillips Blvd in the Bayhill area.(not a very far drive from Disney) Our favorites are Roy's and Season's 52 Even the Golden Arches are Gourmet there ;) ( MickeyDees where you find leather seating, hand pattied burgers, cooked to order pasta and a cappuccino)
We enjoy all the restaurants in Celebration. 1905 salad at Columbia is the best! If you love tea (and French Press Coffee)you have another alternative besides the GF. Bypass Starbucks and stop at Sherlock's in Celebration next door. They have some really great desserts imho
Imho there is a hidden gem for Sushi and Chinese SummerPalace off of 535 at Summerport Windermere next to Publix. We also like the sushi at the Swan Resort. Not a deep dish pizza fan but people swear by Giordano's near the Crossroads area on Apopka Vineland Rd. There is a nice new open air mall opening up this year(1st phase is supposed to open in Oct.) at SR535 and 429 a short drive from Disney with a number of dining spots.

This is exactly what I am looking for, thanks a bunch!:thumbsup2 Will check it out in 22 days.;)

Maggiano's at Point Orlando has fantastic Italian food. Bubbb Gumpa at City Walk is a fun experience too. Fish Bone grill up in the Dr. Phillips area gets rave reviews too.

If you're looking for a steak & ribs place, I've heard that Manny's Chop House in Haines City is excellent.
