Off-site restaurant recommendations for dinner?

Sorry, I posted them on the familyrestaurants thread.

If you're willing to drive and your family likes ethnic food, Little Saigon is just 8 miles south of DLR. Vietnamese food is MUCH cheaper than anything on-site and I find many kids like their noodle and rice dishes. Hong An, Thien An and Pagolac were suggested on the chowhound boards for Vietnamese.

I have read a ton of DL-area restaurant threads on Chowhound and found some Thai and Korean options, too. Thai Nakorn is the Thai place and Cham Sut Gol and Shik Do Rak came up for Korean restaurants.

Los Sanchez on Garden Grove Blvd - it's a counter service Mexican restaurant that's always hopping. Go south on Disneyland Drive (aka West Street) till it dead ends at GG Blvd, then turn right and make an immediate left into Los Sanchez. It's about 3 miles - here's a Google Map.

(Some of you might remember Los Sanchez from it's "hole-in-the-wall" days when it was on Harbor Blvd about where the Sheraton is now. With the redevelopment of that area the GG city fathers gave them the boot and now they've built a brand new building on GG Blvd. It's still counter service and still as good as it always was.)

Thank you for this suggestion. I'm going to try it out. Is the one to the north any better or worse?

Just bumping this as I noticed another poster is looking for off-site dining reccomendations. I must add our discovery from our last trip:
OC Poultry and Rotisserie a Vietnamese joint on E Ball - got the tip off Yelp -
http://www.yelp.com/biz/oc-poultry-and-rotisserie-market-anaheim - it's quite hard to see from the road in a strip mall behind a car wash, so we would never have stumbled upon it by ourselves.
OMG was it good! - and cheap! - and clean! - and friendly (family-run)!
Get a rotisserie chicken bahn mi ( juicy shredded chicken in a crispy French baguette with cilantro and slightly spicy mayo) - soooo good
Go! - you'll thank me!

If you want Vietnamese, there is one place you MUST try. You must order the pork or shrimp spring rolls :thumbsup2

Brodard Restaurant
9892 Westminster Ave
Garden Grove, CA 92844

The place is not easy to find. It's located in the back of a strip mall which seems only the locals know about. Look for the loading dock of a Dollar store and keep driving to the back. If you think "no way it's back there"...you probably have found it!

We really like Oggis. It is located on Harbor in front of Homewood and Marriott. They have all kids of food - pizza, pasta, burgers, wings, sandwiches, steaks, etc. My personal favorite is the Pasta Con Vodka. Yummy. My hubby's is probably the beer sampler. ;) They have a kids menu but our boys always get pizza.

There is BOGO offer on the bottom of your receipt if you take the online survey. So worth it. We totally lucked out because we had someone give us their receipt on their way out. So we ate there 3 times (2 dine-in / 1 take-out) during our last visit.
