off site medical help

I'm not sure if this is where I need to post. This past week all members of my family have gotten sick. We've all be put on antibiotics and should all be better for our trip beginning this Sat. 4/14 Problem is the antibiotic I'm on can interfere with another med I take, and I have been told there is a very good chance I am going to have to get bloodwork down while I am down there 9 - anyone on coumadin might understand this. Does anyone know the closest lab facility and the best way to get there? This is not what I want to do in the middle of my vacation, but what's a girl to do.

Are you staying onsite? The front desk should be able to give you plenty of information on the nearest lab facility.

If you're staying offsite, I've heard great things about the medical care in Celebration.

Ask you dr. where you can go. He may can point you to the right place and then have them to fax him the results and he can adjust your meds.

We had a medical emergency when we where staying at the POR a couple of years ago... We went to the Celebration hospital at like 3am... They where terrific and took great care of my daughter.. It was a very short cab ride.15 minutes or so i think....


My nephews where swinging her by her hands as we walked through the park... like parents often do. she lets out a yell saying they hurt my arm!
so we not usually taken to coddling our kids tell her to rub some dirt on it and walk it off ; )

2 days later she is still complaining, of course we've told her to stop being such a baby for like the 30th time. She's all of 4 by the way.

Finally after the 2nd night of her not being able to sleep we call a cab and take her to the ER... Turns out my nephews dislocated her elbow....

So of course we felt awful that we where so hard on her.. They popped it back in and sent us on our way... They never even charged us anything or wrote up any paper work... Took all of 10 mintues and we where on our way back to our room....

I know, we are awful parents ; )
