Off-site guest visiting us at resort?

We have friends who will be in the area while we are staying on-site.
Are they able to come and visit us at our resort and park at the resort?

They are not going to any of the parks during their visit. Thought it would still be nice to stroll the boardwalk area and go for lunch. Possibly rent a bike etc.

What information do they have to give at the gate? Is our name enough? Or do we have to let someone know ahead of time?

There should be no problem with them coming to visit you. However, they will not be able to use the pool. But they can enjoy the other amenities. They will have to tell the guard at the entrance who they are visiting and if you're staying Deluxe level, they will probably be given a 3-hour parking pass, depending on the time of year and crowd level.

If you're staying moderate or value there shouldn't be any problem with parking.

Your friends certainly can come visit you and although they say not to have guest at the pool when we have stayed at CBR no one ever checked our ID's to see where we were staying. I don't think it would be a problem. Maybe at BC or Poly they would ask for resort id but I think you will be fine.

It depends on how busy the pool is. The offical line is that you are not allowed to swim at any resort unless you are a guest of that resort. However, if you ask the lifeguard on the day, they MAY allow you to have guests. Totally up to them.

I'm so glad this question was asked. I will be at WL in November (arriving Sunday Nov. 13) I have a cousin and her husband that live in the Tampa area and I want them to come see me on that day. (They both work during the week) I get in early, so we can either go off-site for lunch or just stay at WL, visit and have dinner there. I understand that parking is only allowed for 3 hours??

Yes, guest parking is 3 hrs, unless they do valet parking, then I think you can park all day.

Thanks everyone! :thumbsup2

No plans on taking them to the pool area. I know when we've stayed at the Beach Club in the past they do ask for room keys (and it wasn't busy).

Just wanted to make sure they would be able to park without a problem. We won't have a rental car, so them coming to us for a visit will be much easier than us going to them.

Thanks again! :goodvibes
