Ok, here is my dilemma. I am from Texas and every time we go to Disney we will always go to Giordano's restaurant(the best Chicago style Pizza). This time we are flying and I have no transportation and staying @ SS. There are no Chicago style pizza places in Houston and I am going to starve if I do not get my fix. I have thought of a couple of solutions.

1.) Taxi $20 there and $20 back(plus $50 for the meal) = $100. a little pricey for pizza.

2.) Rental car for three days. I guess 39/day( x 3) there is another $100.

3.) Asking some cm that drives a pool van to pick the pie for ($20 - $25)?

4.) Trying to get an employee @ giordano's to deliver it to us for ($20 - $25)?

Trust me I get crazy for that stuff. We stayed there in the summer and ate there three times in seven days. Well... I had to replenish all those calories that I spent in the park.

No I do not work for them and am any way affiliated but every man's got his vice and that pie is it. Thanks in advance.

No ideas for you, but we love Giordano's although we haven't eaten there in a couple of years -- I'm going to put it back on our dining rotation - we stumbled across it in our pre-staying-on-property days.

You guys are nuts!!! I thought I was going to get booted for having posted in the wrong section. Unfortunately I think you have just enabled my high-caloric habit. MAking it accessible here in Texas is NOT a good thing. :yay:

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their pizza :)!! We never have a car at WDW and have had Giordano's deliver (free) to us at OKW twice. We will be back in Orlando in March and I can't wait to have some of that delicious stuffed pizza, mmmmm :goodvibes !!

Just had Giordano's deliver to OKW on Wednesday, great food we'll definitely do that again.

Okay, I know this is almost "unholy"....but, I went to grad school in downtown Chicago...right across the street from one of the original Giordano's. I just do not GET why everyone likes their pizza so much???!!!
All my college buddies would want to go eat there, but I thought the crust tasted like the mixture you used to make maps out of when you were a kid (you know...salt, flour...water)....it was so bland!! Anyway, I don't mean to insult your pizza....but, I just don't get it!!!

OTOH, OP....I am SOOO jealous of you!!! You now have an Earl of Sandwich....THAT is what I crave away from WDW (that, and LeCellier's salad dressing).

But, if you have to have your fix....they will deliver. ;)

With due respect, Giordano's should NOT and is NOT considered Chicago style pizza (no matter how they try to sell themselves). Yes, it is thick, but Giordano's is STUFFED pizza which is NOT, I repeat, NOT Chicago style deep dish pizza. It is quite good, but it should not be confused with the real thing.

We'll be there from Nov. 29th through Dec. 11th and would be more than happy to give you a lift :thumbsup2
