Off property Magic Band

Has anyone who has not stayed on property bought a Magic Band at the parks or DTD? If so, how do you link your park tickets and fastpass' to them? Do they work just as well as the on property ones?

You'll link your MagicBand to your MDE account where your tickets and FPs are linked. At the shop, the CM can use your ticket and will activate the MB at that time so that it automatically links to your MDE account. At the entrance and FP tapstiles, your MagicBand provides the link to everything in your MDE account.

The MBs in the shops are exactly like the ones onsite guests receive for free when they stay at an onsite resort.

The CM will link your tickets when you purchase them; linking your tickets automatically links your fastpassses. The ones you buy are the same ones you get free by staying on property, so they'll work exactly the same.

~From my understanding they must be bought within the park, once purchased a cast member will then set you up and link your tickets to the band.~

its the same for resort guests who already have bands but see one of the limited editions out in the park all they have to do is purchase the new band and everything then gets linked to it
