What are the odds of finding a lost Magicband? First time buying a Magicband (we still have some of the free ones, but I got my daughter a princess one for her 4th birthday). Magicband lost at Epcot 2 days later. I reported it as lost in the app, but was wondering what are the odds it is ever located? Anyone else lose a Magicband at the resort?

Good news , bad news

GOOD ...If you did the lost/found form; it should be match up with MB info. Maybe not be 'match' while on your trip.
BAD.... Many MB just get thrown away

I splurged on the "new" magic bands. Wore it the entire trip. Rained on day. Taking off rain gear, it must have popped off my wrist (I had an old AP band thing the help hold it on) I was so sad. I knew I lost it in Galaxy Edge. Went to GS and filled out a form. Kept checking the app, email...nothing. Luckily I had an extra band along. Got home from the trip. Two weeks later I got a nice little package and a happy "we found it" note. There it was, including the AP band thingy! Don't loose hope.

My husband lost his MB+ on the Epcot monorail less than 2 hours into our trip on October 1. He realized right away, went back to the monorail station, and filled out the lost & found form right away. Still no sign of it, but I’m glad to hear @Boopuff’s story — gives me hope it will magically show up one day!

I lost my brand new magic band plus getting off a ride in Hollywood Studios. Reported it missing immediately, filled out the form, etc. it was never found.

My son lost his magic band at Epcot. We never reported it missing, but it was located within a few days, we were contacted, and it was shipped back to us (we had already purchased a new one at that point).

Lost mine heading into Epcot. I knew I had it on when I got into our taxi, but by the time I was past security, I no longer had it. 😕 I was already rushed and frustrated with my son, who just would not believe me that we weren’t going to lose out on GOTG if our boarding group was called before we got over there.
I immediately went back to the security checkpoint to see if it had been turned in… it hadn’t. I made my way back to the entry gates, and by the time I’d gone thru with my regular ticket, the security lead I had spoken to a few minutes earlier was standing there with my MB+ held behind his back, and a big smile. I felt pixie-dusted like you wouldn’t believe!

I thought for sure I was especially screwed because up to that point they had not once asked for my fingerprint as I entered. That morning was the first time and then only because I had told them I wasn’t sure which ticket was mine and which was dh’s since we hadn’t ever used them for entry. The GS CM figured out which was which and then associated my fingerprint with my admission.

Both GS & security told me that most MB’s do get turned in because people know they can’t use it for themselves anyway. Hopefully yours will show up too.

My husband’s MB flew off on Rock’n Roller
coaster. Like, into the air- It didn’t just fall off in the ride vehicle.

We put in a lost and found info online never thinking they would find it. But… 4 days later they emailed and then sent it to us. We were shocked! Guess they really do clean up down there!

I hope they wouldn't throw away a Port Orleans Tiana one...unless it was destroyed. I kind of worry it fell out of the stroller when we collapsed the stroller at the bus stop or got off the bus.

I am hoping she lost it somewhere on the Mission Space playground and it is still there waiting to be found. Trip is over now, but hearing some of these stories make me hopeful. I lost a wallet at a local theme park when I was about 12 or so, and it was eventually mailed back to me, without the $2 or $3 I remembered having inside. But Disney is so huge, I wasn't sure if something as little as a Magicband ever gets located.

We've only lost one once, it fell off of a backpack when it got snagged somewhere in line. We didn't even realize it until the end of a 2 week trip, because it was one of the 'extras' we had for playing Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom once upon a time and we just collect them on our backpacks....
Lo and behold it was sent to us and had been waiting in our box when we got there about a month later!
This also happened to us when we went for our wedding 20 years ago and our guests had those disposable cameras!! Someone had misplaced it, but we didn't even realize it, just figured one of our guests took it home!! We got home after a long honeymoon and there it was in our mailbox with a few cast member photos congratulating us!! HAAHA!! They were specialty wedding ones with a label of our wedding info on it (we were married in WDW) and they tracked us down that way!!

Disney Magic never ceases to amaze me and we have so many stories, so never lose out hope!!!

DH lost his in DAK a few years ago--we weren't even sure where he lost it. We stopped at Guest Services on our way out of the park to report the loss . . . and . . . someone had already returned it and Guest Services had it! Pretty amazing.

I have to interject a funny story about a lost MB from another source: Person lost new MB+ they had paid for the photopass memory maker. Person was looking at the photos, and low and behold they saw a ton of pictures of another family! It was obviously worn by the child in the pictures. Not sure what good it did the thieves but it was funny the hear about the photopass!

My niece lost hers on our last trip, we bought her a new one, and the old one was eventually found and mailed to our house. She's going to have to wait to get it back though, as she lives in another country and I'm not paying to ship it to her.

My neighbors daughter lost her MB somewhere on slinky dog dash, and the CM thought they had found it....but her name is Keira and the one the CM found was for a Robert (or something like that). The CM gave her a guest recovery certificate for a new MB.
