Oddest thing you have ever seen while sitting in traffic?

Today I saw:

1- man shaving (electric not lather and razor)
2- girl on cell phone while putting on make up
3- couple FIGHTING like it was over

And that was just one day

I use to be the odd one.
Changing my outfit in the car while sitting in traffic going from my Museum job to my Publix job.

I also started dancing one day and people looked at me strange.

I can tell you what DW Lauri saw today when she was stuck in traffic sitting on a bridge right over the middle of a river...

First, a lightning bolt striking the lightpost 2 lanes over. Then lightning striking the road a couple of cars over. Then finally, lightning striking the road directly in front of her which she described as "everything going neon purple while her hair on her arms stung".

She called me telling me to "get her the heck out of there!"

We weren't sitting in traffic but once going down I-195 we passed a tiny pony walking around in the back of a station wagon.

for people who live in the Dallas area you know how busy 360 is . I travel that way everyday for work I see strange things all the time .
The strangest was a girl eating cereal from a bowl on her dash while she was driving
I would say the 2nd strangest thing was a guy reading a paperback while driving

We were stopped waiting to make a left hand turn. We were in my dad's truck so it was easy to see down into cars. A convertable was heading in the opposite direction, about 50mph. From a distance you could just see an arm on the wheel, you couldn't see the driver's face. As it passed, we looked down into the car, and the driver and the girl in the passenger seat were making out. I dont know how the guy kept the car on the road; he certainly wasn't looking at it

Last night we could see the fireworks over puget sound while sitting on I-5. That was cool.

I once saw a guy picking his zits in the visor mirror in traffic.

A lady reading a book. Yes reading a book. On my way to drop off my girls at school in the morning, I have run into this lady reading a book and driving.

There are lots of stop lights down this major road here in Pensacola. It ususally take about 30 minutes to go 8 miles.

Where is a police officer when you need one. This just shocks me everytime I see her. I have seen her maybe 1/2 a dozen times.

I once saw a woman with a whole plate of food, eating as she drove.

Frequently, I will be behind what appears to be a car with no driver. When I pass, I find only that the little old lady is too short to be seen!

Me and my DH used to attempt to do silly things to freak out other drivers. Once, we were driving down this two lane road with some fast food. When we'd see a car approaching, I'd give him a sandwich, and he'd take his hands off the wheel as the car passed and take a bite. To them, it appeared he was just driving down the road, enjoying his lunch, no hands on the wheel. I know it sounds stupidly dangerous now, but it was fun, and the looks on those drivers faces were priceless!

Aurora - my dad used to take his hand off the wheel (with the passenger holding the wheel) and turn around and talk to the people in the back seat. Ahh, the good ol' days.......

The strangest thing I've seen I've mentioned here on the boards before - a man eating from a bowl with chopsticks while driving. The make-up/shaving/reading a newspaper things just aren't strange enough anymore!

Okay, I live in a small town and my commute is 5 minutes, so I don't get to see strange stuff while driving. However, a while back while I was in court (working there, not in trouble LOL), I watched as a woman pulled a tooth while waiting for her case to be called up. It was absolutely disturbing.

last night we saw two different people wearing a light on their head like a miner.

and I swear DH and I saw a monkey driving a car once. We tried to catch up to get a better look but we lost him in traffic

i've seen som ereally strange stuff,, and pulled afew,, i usaed to get called to pull hayrides in the fall, i had a one ton truck, and instead of loud i wanted mine so quuiet you didnt know it was running, it was geared really low and would barely creep along in low gera through the woods,,, when doing a hay ride i would drive,, find a good straight stretch, tie the wheel with a bungie cord, step out of teh truck, and climb onto the t railer,, then ask hey wheres the driver


scared the riders every time... ( a lot of times i would have a co-pilot that would hold the wheel and be ducked down out of sight from the rear)

My BIL took us for a drive down South Street in Philly one night and I saw a man eating out of the garbage can. Never went back!

This past April a car pull up next to us at the traffic light with thousands of different things stuck to his car. I got a picture and if someone would tell me how to post it, I can show it to you. It really was weird!

I once saw a guy, um, how to put this politely, um "taking care of business-his OWN business" He only had one hand on the wheel if you know what I mean. I was about 18 years old and horrified

Not in traffic but the other day driving to work it waS 7:30am There was a man driving towards me with a HUGE pink cotton candy in his left hand and he was eating it like it was no big deal.

Then SAME morning... no more than 10 minutes later(it felt like I was in a movie). Ok mind you I'm in suburbia but there is a ton of construction going on in the hills around me. So I'm listening to "She thinks my Tractors Sexy". I pull up at the stop light, I'm rocking out I look to my right and at the stop light is a man in a John Deere tractor, green and yellow and everything. It was such a great morning.

I've seen a car here where the guy has stuff welded all over the hood and roof of his car. It causes a big stir in the parking lot cause everyone is stopping and taking pictures. It is an old white car and the stuff that is welded must be military in nature (think little army tanks etc.) I have never gotten that close since I'm usually walking into work when I see it. It's so funny to see all the people with their cells snapping pictures. I think it's one of those, "you would never believe it until you see it" things. I wonder if it is the same car and he travles around with it. I probably see it about once every other month.
