We received a message today from a National Time Share Advocacy group inviting us to a meeting to air time share Grievances at a local AppleBees. My wife asked the representative as to "what time share she was referring to" and she was able to identify our DVC membership.
She claimed that there are over 36000 complaints about timeshare issues from maintenance fees to inability to make reservations b/c rooms are being held back.
The operator claimed that we didnt need to bring anything with us except for any complaints or issues we may have.
Naturally I'm skeptical of these types of unsolicited calls. And generally i'm very happy with my DVC purchase—save for the latest resale restrictions (but thats not what I want to debate here).
I'm wondering if anyone received one of these calls, or went to the meeting. They claimed they were reaching out to anyone with timeshares including RCI and Westgate
