Odd rental points question

Hello all...

I'm researching joining DVC... and am planning on renting this first time out to be sure...

Here's my question - I'm looking to rent a 2BR in OKW the week of May 6th-13th 2006.. all the charts I see show 263pts.. but the owner I'm communicating with is telling me it will be 381... that seems crazy as it appears to be close the the number needed for Christmas week.

It takes forever for me to communicate with this owner, and I'm very curious as to why they are claiming 381 are needed... does anyone have any ideas...??

If you check in OKW in a 2 BRM on May 6 and Check out on May 16th, it is 381 points. Maybe that is the problem.

Sounds like a mis-communication to me. 7 consecutive nights in May is 263 points. As Tammy posted, maybe the owner thinks you are staying more than 7 nights.

My planner shows 263 pts. for that time. There must be a communication error. If not, rent from someone else.

Checking in on the 6th, for 7 nights (checking out on the 13th) is 263 points.

Checking in on the 6th, for 10 nights (checking out on the 16th) is 381 points.

As others have said, sounds like a mis-communication on the actual dates involved.

You are correct!!! The owner typed in the wrong date!

Glad I questioned it - or I would have paid too much and rented a room for too long...!
