Is this something I need to put in my checked luggage? I have a stick of regular deodorant and a stick of body glide, originally I had them in my backpack to take on the plane but then I got to thinking maybe they should be checked?
that is what I figured too but I really was not sure what catagory that fell into since I knew cream -i.e. sunblock was an issue. But I guess if you can't pour it, it is not liquid!
You should be fine with your deoderant in your carry-on-if it is a gel type-put it in your ziploc baggie. Any solid should be fine in your regular carry-on. I'm not sure about the other stuff though.

Good thought, but my hair spray you can't pour & that needs to be in a ziploc! I'd put your sunblock in a baggie too though. I think it depends on security that day. My husband didn't put his gel deorderant in a ziploc & they said nothing. My 7 yr. old son had a lotion from the resort in his & they gave us a tough time-I think the bag was open though. I usually put shampoo, lotion, toothpaste, body spray/perfume, hair spray, laundry stuff, sunblock, and any medication in my baggie. We spread them out between the 4 of us-kids don't really need their baggies!!!!
Anything made of liquid or gel must be placed in a 3-1-1 bag if carried on. Each item in the bag an only be 3 oz or smaller, in a 1-quart clear ziplock bag. Yes you can have one bag per family member. Don't risk getting delayed by a picky screener! Everything else must go in checked luggage.
I put everything that POSSIBLY could fall into this catergory (deoderant and makeup included) in a Ziploc. I like security to go as quickly and painlessly as possible
