I know I've asked this before...just need my fears calmed. We really want to go to Disneyland in June 2018. We're now passed the 11-month mark and we either need two studios or one 2-bedroom and both are still available. I'm taking this as a good sign, but I also know there's plenty of time between now and the first week of November (when we can book). What are you experiences??

We are throwing around the idea of going for the first time next June. What I do know is you will have a much better chance of getting a two bedroom vs 2 studios. Studios go very quickly. If you can't get either look into the Disney Collection and using your points at Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier.

One BR are the easiest. They are all? mostly? lock offs I think, so when so many studios get booked, it effects the availability of the 2 bedrooms too. I have booked at 7 months, usually a 1BR though.

VGC has 23 lock-off 2BRs and 23 dedicated 2BRs. That rooms are still shown as available beyond the 11 month window probably means little, e.g., BCV rooms tend to be still open 9 to 10 months out for Oct through December stays, but, by the seven month window, usually most everything is gone, including even 1BRs half the time. Also, RAT shows you only that "a" room is open in a room category not how many, and VGC could already well be on its way of being full many nights.

For June 2017, studios (and thus 2BR lock-offs) were generally difficult to get at 7 months out throughout the month; dedicated 2BRs had issues but, particularly in the first half, there were a couple times when 7 nights were available in a row (although none with a Saturday or Sunday start date); during the second half, it was very common to see any given start date for a 2BR disappear a day before 7 months out although a 7 night opening happened with a June 25 start date. Also, even 1BRs were hit or miss during the second half of June.

Thanks! We're looking at the first week of June, checking in on Sunday or Monday (either would work). It's going to be myself, my husband and son, the in-laws and an aunt...so either 2 studios or a 2-bedroom would work. Two studios requires less points, but we have enough points to swing the 2-bedroom. We've already booked 2 studios at our home resort because no matter what, we're going some sort of Disney parks next June! :) I just really want to go to Disneyland! I'm probably one of the few that likes it more than WDW.
