October

We found the beginning of Oct crowds to be very reasonable, crowds at 5-6. Especially coming from previous trips in July and August.

With one exception of Fri and Sat nights at EPCOT during F&W festival. WS was packed!!

Getting busier. Many schools are going to a longer year with a break in October. I say 5-7 depending on the date.

We are going Oct. 10-17. Now that we know what to expect with the crowds... what should we expect for temps/weather? :)

We''ve gone in October and found short lines (or none) on lots of rides :cool1: - less crowds on the streets:dance3: - still have to book dining reservations early!!!!:surfweb: - Not so HOT:goodvibes!

ENJOY!:yay:

We have been going in the Sept./Oct. time frame for years and found it to be much less crowded, not as hot (although sometimes it can be a scorcher!), with the Food & Wine festival. Only on weekends at Epcot will it be busy because of the F&W festival. Most rides are walk ons but I have seen it change over time. If there is a ride you must have and do not like to wait, use FP+ to secure it! TL is also great during the weekdays in the fall with low crowds!popcorn::

We've gone 3times in Sept/Oct, next one coming up soon!

Crowds have always been great (in my opinion) but others have been saying it's no longer the really low crowds of the past. It us hard to get sit down meals at traditional if you're there during a free dining promotion.

Weather in Fl is always unpredictable, but "average" highs are mid-80's, lower humidity than summer (but maybe still higher than other parts of the country ), and lower chances of the daily thunderstorms that you see in the summer.

Still very warm - mid 80's on average although we have experienced some higher temps (low 90s) as well. Historically very little rain. Still bring a hoodie or sweatshirt for the odd cool front that can sneak in there.

It is just beautiful in Oct - DH and I go pretty much every year in Oct.
We will be there the week after you this year. Hope you have a great time!

You're going over Columbus Day. That will be crowded...but not summer crowded.

We go every year the first week of October. Crowds are pretty manageable (except EPCOT on weekends), and weather is nicer than in the summer.

We have gone that time of year for the past 6-7 years. It is over Columbus Day, so it will be busy like a 5-7 crowd level, many kids have off from school. Try to stay away from Epcot on the weekend, especially in the evening, we have avoided it unless we have dinner reservations. We have always had hot weather in the 80's and humid and one trip it rained every day, but usually we've had 1 or two days with rain.

We followed crowd predictions and plan with the recommended parks and have always had success. After seeing crowds last year we moved to be there the first week of October, but your time is still better than going in summer/x-mas/Easter!

Also interested in this question. We are going Oct 19th and selected it based on prediction of lower crowds and yet nice weather. I like the comment about little rain...fingers crossed.

I do wonder though about crowds being higher since there are 3 weeks of Free Dining blackout (i.e. so they don't need to entice people to book these weeks)
