October wedding lunch

Hey! I was wondering if anyone would have recommendations for a group of twenty for lunch on my wedding day. We'll be married mid October at the Boardwalk and have a 10 am ceremony arranged. It is a weekday if that makes any difference on what may be more likely to be available. My plan of action is to call the restaurant directly to book and see about a private room if possible.

I had my sights set on O'hana so much! But that hasn't worked out thus far. As of right now I have a reservation booked at Sanaa for 11:40 am. Our ceremony is at 10am and I imagine will take approximately an hour and a half with a simple vow exchange, photos, and the cake and champagne ceremony (which we may box and enjoy at our lunch space).

My concerns are these-
We have provided transportation to lunch, which is wonderful! My main concern is getting the entire party there in time. It's just his immediate family and mine, but anything could cause a hold up. I'm worried setting the lunch at AKL had added extra stress when there should be none on that day. I love the idea of dinning at Sanaa but it is a bit of a stretch with our time.

Also, I discovered once I made the reservation that our party will be broken up into smaller groups to fit at their tables. Truthfully, I don't know much about Disney dinning and wasn't aware this was the case.

Does anyone have any recommendations for an on property hotel dinning option for lunch (11:30 am-1 pm starting time frame). I feel like I've hit a bit of a wall finding many breakfast spots just wrapping up their hours and lunch hours being none existent.

I just know there is the perfect space for us that can accommodate and supply an amazing brunch or lunch for the big day! We don't mind a more casual sit down spot, but would prefer it not to be a burger joint if that translates well. We're also accommodating two vegans. While they're not picky, we would love to have at least one option or modification on the menu available to them.

Is there anything else open on the Boardwalk (or nearby the Boardwalk area) open for lunch that's not entirely beer and chicken sandwiches? Even if our option is a late breakfast, that's fantastic! We're not tied to needing a private room, we just want to be together.

Thank you so so much for your help!! This is the very last piece to the planning puzzle and I just don't feel settled hurriedly shipping everyone to Sanaa for us all to not sit together.

The easiest might be to check out the restaurants at the Swan & Dolphin. Fresh Mediterranean Market is open til 2pm, and I know of at least one bride who did her post-wedding meal there. Usually the resort restaurants are dead at that time (which is why most of Disney's are not open for lunch), so you should have no trouble being seated together.

Another option is the restaurants of Disney Springs, some of which have private rooms (like Morimoto Asia and the Boat House) or secluded sections and are open all day.

You can also book a private catered event through your Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings planner. Depending on the location, the food and beverage minimums may not be that bad, and then you can get exactly what you want, when you want it.

I'm having a similar issue too, with my wedding confirmed for 12noon...
So far I've discovered Kona Cafe at Polynesian is open 12-2.45pm, Big River Grille is 11-4pm at the boardwalk, or as Lurkyloo said, any at Disney Springs seem to be open all day.
I've never eaten at any of these so I can't recommend the food etc, but hopefully that gives you some more options

Strange thought I know but what about Beaches and Cream? In beach Club. If you booked the whole place. They have a good menu not just burgers snd how about for fun a light lunch of say grilled cheese and soup then order a few kitchen sinks! They also do afternoon tea at Beach Club maybe you could book the whole room?

Another thought is in EPCOT someplace like Italy the Pizza place I forget the name or France etc.

This was going to be my suggestion. Take a look at The Attic, it's a perfect size for your group and the minimum spend isn't too high for your time of day ($1000 for events ending before 5pm). I guess that works out to $50pp++ for your 20 people though.

Another option I haven't seen mentioned is Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club. Breakfast goes til 11:25am and lunch starts at 11:30am. They have an a la carte breakfast menu or buffet, not sure if they close the buffet right at 11:25am, or if as long as you're in there by 11:25 you can do the buffet. That could be an option.

Or maybe Cape May at Beach club if you can get their latest possible breakfast reservation? Although, I think that may be 11am which would be cutting it pretty close.

@YogaDis what day is your wedding? Ours is October 13 at Sea Breeze Point at 7:30pm. Just wondering if you're around the same time since you said mid-October

i know this is late to the post and Carrie might have already mentioned this...

I plan quite a few private events and one of the offered locations this time was Trader Sam's for lunch. Would need to be finished by 3. We are already doing the Food/Wine event there so I opted out. We will be doing Fez House for dinner. But the TS FB was $1500 and no venue fee. Not bad I thought!
