hi
we;re leaving oct 17th to22nd what is the weather like and will all the parks be crowded... thanks

:cheer2:

Parks are very crowded now. We live about 30 minutes away in Lake Mary. CMs said they are pretty much solidly booked until christmas without much breaks in the crowds.

The parks were crowded but we didn't experience any really long waits for anything. Use the UG or TGM to figure out your best park to go on which day and you should be fine. I have read a lot of poeple saying the crowds were bad, but I guess when you look at say a summer crowd compared to these crowds, it really wasn't that bad at all. There were several billboards up that I noticed while on Disney transportation that said there were rooms available and gave a number to call.
You will be fine... enjoy your trip!

I'll be there this week, and from the 10-day forecast at weather.com - it will be in the mid to upper 80's during the day and the 60's at night. It's a tad warmer than I like, but I love going to the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot.

Thanks for the info... i can't wait to get to WDW... we are also going to the Food & Wine Festival

What are the average wait time for October? I know Columbus Day weekend is really crowed, but how will the rest of the month be?

We just got back yesterday and the weather was hot but not as muggy as summer time (when we usually go).

I personally think the crowds are great!!! Maybe we were just lucky and missed the huge crowds but they seemed pretty light to me.
On Monday 10/2, in the afternoon (2:30ish) there was WALK ON for Space Mountain! We did it 2x with both times only waiting about 5 mins each time.
Buzz Lightyear was about a 5-10 min wait! All of Tomorrowland was DEAD!!! The longest I saw was 20 mins for Astro Orbiter (we don't do that ride)
Fantasyland was a mad house (some what) Peter Pan had a 30 min wait and Winnie the Pooh had a 40 min wait, but we did Fantasyland 1st thing in the morning and had it completely done with by 9:30 (except Mickey's PhilharMagic, which we went back in the afternoon to do)

On Tuesday 10/3 we were at MGM & it was very light crowds! In fact we were able to do Rock & Roller Coaster 5x that day, the most waiting 10 mins! We had Fastpasses to Tower of Terror and we didn't even need them because it was walk on.
It was a great day at MGM!

I did notice the crowds picking up a bit on Friday (10/6) which was our last day but it still wasn't that bad.
We are use to going during the summer were you have 60-90 min waits! Even a 15 min wait seemed like paradise to us :)

I think I am spoiled now by going this time of year. I know I am not going to want to go back in the summer now :sunny:

This is our first time going in October, so I can't honestly answer how it will be. But I can't imagine it being insanely busy. We waited no more than 10 - 15 minutes for anything. Oh, one exception... Turtle Talk with Crush. We were the last family able to go in and it was packed, so we waited for the next show so we could get seats up front. We waited total about 30 minutes for that, but that was our choice.
Check with the UG or TGm, both are good resources!

Hi - Could you please be more specific, where on UG or TGM? Thanks.

Just got back. The weather was miserable! Very, very hot and HUMID! The crowds were bad, but the lines were fine. It was weird, like people were just walking around not riding anything. The longest line we saw was Soarin for 50 minutes (FastPassed that one). Everything else was pretty much walk on or 5 minute waits.

We had a blast, just weren't expecting it to be quite so hot. We're planning our next trip for early January, can't do that heat again! I can't imagine how hot it must be in dead of summer!!!
