October Waitlists Revisited

Anyone's Oct. waitlist come through yet? Who's still waiting?

Our VWL 2 br waitlist for 10/11-16 still hasn't come through, but haven't given up hope yet. Not that a stay at good ol' OKW wouldn't be heaven, but it'd be fun to try something different too! To be honest I'm thrilled either way, so no worries!

So where do we all stand?

I have a 1 BR at BWV 10-16/10-21, but am waitlisted for a 2 BR at either BWV or BCV. Pixie dust please!!!

We have a 2BR reserved at OKW for October 16-23 but are waitlisted at either BWV or BCV for the entire week -- don't think it's gonna happen but you never know!

Still waiting for our Dedicated two bedroom 2 queens for October 22nd..... and on the flip side we are also waiting for a dedicated 2 bedroom queen/pullouyt combo for Oct 17th-21st.

I have a 1BR at BCV for 10/24-10/27. I am waitlisted for a 2 BR either at BCV or BWV. This is the longest that I've ever had to wait. I am usually lucky right away with the waitlist coming through.

I'm on the list for a 2BR at VWL, BCW or BWVs for Oct24-30th. I'm in a 2BR at SSR but thought it would be cool to stay closer to the parks as we have 5 others coming with us who have never been to Disney before.

I was actually waitlisted for about 3 minutes!

I needed a Studio at BWV for the night of October 4th (friends coming down to Florida meeting up with them for two days / one night) and they didn't have anything at that moment....but, low and behold...Giovanna tells me to hold for a moment and...poof! Someone just cancelled and she rushed and booked it for me!

So, technically I was waitlisted, but it came through!

We cancelled our Labor Day trip due to Frances. So now we're waitlisted for Oct 14 - 18. BWV is our first choice, but we'll take anywhere.

This is also the longest I have had to wait.... been on the waitlist for about 3 months now... and ever other time I have had a call within a couple of weeks....

11 days and counting til the 31 day mark..... and we are still trying to decide what to do.

Since it looks like we will have to move.... we are thinking about heading over to POP for the last night. I can make a ressie there via CRO and cancel 5 days out... so we could hold onto our waitlist until 6 days out....

BUT that would put our 61 points into holding...... Which we could prolly swicth out with good points for our January trip....

I'm waiting on a studio at HHI for October 10 -- for about two months now. Not too hopeful, but won't be disappointed as we are going to spend one whole day fishing anyway so it won't matter if we don't stay at DVC that night. We're confirmed for the next couple of nights.

We needed a studio at BWV for 6 & 7th Oct, none available so we booked OKW instead, which is also fine, but we really wanted BWV.

We wanted a preferred view but also stated we were willing to take a standard view if that came up first, at least we'd be at BWV. The standard view came up a month after we waitlisted, now just waiting and praying for a preferred boardwalk view to come through. Almost at the 31 day window...pixie dust, pixie dust...

We were waitlisted for the first and last nights of our upcoming Oct. 3-8 stay. We got the first night eventually, but hit the 31 day mark and still didn't have the last night, Oct. 7. We were told there was ZERO availability for ANY DVC resort, ANY SIZE whatsoever for that night, including OKW, so I was a little rattled. Fortunately that same day I called back and OKW was available (not sure if the original agent was wrong or if it just happened to open up). I was rattled enough to change the whole trip to OKW because we didn't feel like moving since it is only a 5 night trip anyways. Hopefully our preferred 1 BR at BWV for Oct. 3 for 4 nights helped somebody else out. I will REALLY try not to change our plans for October trips anymore!!!!!

We are waitlisted for a 2 bedroom at any resort for 10/10-10/17. They had the 12,13,14,15 open, but not the rest. I wasn't a member yet when I made our ressie for a 2-bed at OKW, so it looks like I may have to pay cash and then use the points for something else.
