OCTOBER WAITLIST Support Group...

We have a split stay and 11 people going. 3 memberships. I was concentrating on Bay Lake, Beach Club, and Boardwalk. I really don't think that the WL was filled. This morning, my dashboard showed 1 resv out of 5 that I had made, and 1 WL out of 5 that I had spread out over the 3 memberships.

So no, I think it is all one huge problem that DVC is having with their website. Every time I try and get in to anything further, the page isn't working. They just better not have lost the resv's that we already had.

I just got back in. No change for me. Still no waitlist on my dashboard. I got a waitlist 2 months ago and it's the exact same pattern. If disappeared from my dashboard, but showed up on my older version of the waitlist page. After no change to my reservations (about 2 weeks) I called them and they noticed my waitlist had been filled, but no one had gotten to manually change/process it yet....crazy. I'm still hoping.

OUR WAITLIST CAME THROUGH!!!!!

We now have our reservation complete! We will start with FIVE nights in a preferred view 1BR at the BWV while the rest of the family has a 2BR standard at BWV. Then, we will move to a value 1BR at AKV for the last 2 nights, leaving the rest of the family behind. This works out perfectly because we LOVE to eat at Boma on our departure day and finishing the trip at AKV will make that happen. Our flight isn't until 2:30 so we should have no problem eating breakfast at 9am before heading home.

Wanted to report that 2 of my wl's were pulled from the dashboard because of name issues, but that they were indeed being held for me. Funny thing, well, not so funny really. Our trip just got turned around, so I had to cancel some of my BCV & BW resv's, as well as some WL's. Now I'm practically starting over & really hoping for some pixie dust!

I can not believe that there isn't a 2 bedroom at SSR on Sunday, Oct 9th! I know it's F&W and Columbus week-end, but still..........Is there something else going on also?

Ugh, sorry that is happening. I think at this point it's truly real crowds - we are in a GV at SSR 10/9 and 10/10 and I've kind of been watching availability while I've been stalking other waitlists. The good news is SSR keeps fluctuating a lot more than the other resorts.

Can't get on right now, but make sure when you look at SSR you are looking at the regular 2 bedroom and not the preferred category - they added preferred for 2017 bookings, but for 2016 it will ALWAYS show not available as it's not active. It confused me when I first saw it. As of a few days ago, there were still 2 bedrooms open, so fingers crossed for you!!

OK, I'm a little bit excited. I just checked my dashboard and my waitlist is gone, but the reservation is not updated yet. I've always found that once your waitlist disappears, they are working on it (or it's been "pulled"). So now I wait to see if it's coming or they accidently deleted my waitlist!

This happened to me last week. I looked on Thursday and waitlist was gone. All my points were still there and no new reservation listed. I foolishly thought it was expired or I had accidently canceled it but then on Monday I got an e-mail that the wait list was filled. This was at BC 10/21-23 in a studio. I will be canceling at BLT for the same dates when I get around to it later today.... hopefully that translates into some pixie dust for some one here.

Now I have to get them to combine them into one reservation. Not sure why they didn't do that. So I freed up a 1 bedroom BWV pool view for Oct. 16th. Actually I was just checking the availability board and there seems to be a lot of movement. Good luck to all still waiting.

Congrats!! After looking at the WL threads the last few days it seems this disappearing WL request followed by fulfillment is fairly common.

Keep checking my dashboard and hoping for something on our new days............ We have 2 nights that we don't have enough rooms. Might have to end up booking a room at a moderate instead of a DVC. Just don't know

due to DH's work constraints we need to lop the 1st day off our Oct trip. Trying to add on a 2nd week of vacation to have more than 6 nights that trip.

shocked to see 4 nights @ SSR studio starting columbus day.

WL'd for two other properties, monday to friday that week. Not going to hold my breath but will keep checking the site.

Well. I dropped Poly Lake View Oct 12-15 and it went straight to waitlist. Oct 10 and 11 were avail and disappeared shortly after so maybe someone got five nights at Poly filled.

I had 3 nights at Bonnet Creek booked for July trip and BCV opened up in July!!!!! So, I moved those points from Oct to book BCV and moved the Bonnet Creek reservation to Oct.

Worked for me AND sombody out there waiting for October.

That's a tough weekend. I was looking to book a studio for my daughter for October 22-24 and there's nothing. I thought she was going home after our cruise on October 22, but now they are thinking of flying home on Monday October 24th because airfare is too high. They could crash with us at BWV, but we have a studio and can't imagine it, though we do have a place for them to sleep if they can't snag a room. Kids, you just can't get them to plan.

UPDATE: I just snagged a studio at BCV for the weekend of Oct. 22-24. I was on the availability page and it popped up--I guess before the waitlist grabbed it. This is the first time I've seen any studio show up for both nights. I've seen one night open at AK only since looking. Whew....at least they wont be sharing our studio with us.

We are joining the waitlist bandwagon. We need one night (Sept 30-Oct 1) in a studio. We have a waitlist for OKW and AKL and hoping one comes through!

Yea I've been on it since the very beginning almost since the opening of the 7 month window. I always have the 1 bedroom as the back up so I am not worried about having a place to stay. I just wanted to save the points
