October Visit

We are going to be in Disney from Oct. 9-16. Last year we were there at the same time (Oct.11-18). That Friday, the 17th, was THE crowdest day at MK. From what I heard, Florida schools or Orlando area schools were closed. Does anyone know if they have that same day this year, the 15th, off from school, too?

We are trying to plan our days and want to know if I should stay away on the 15th. Anybody out there know?

It would be much appreciated if someone out there could help.

I don't live in Florida but for the 1st time we were given a 5 day weekend then too-- we're offthe 14th through the 18th. Personally I was thinking it would be a great weekend to build a small trip around if DH would let me.

Might want to wait and see if the two days are added back to the school schedule, since Orange County lost two weeks due to Charley.

I was wondering the same. We also are arriving on the 9th and was hoping that Columbus Day (11th) wouldn't invrease the crowds too much.

Anyone been there on Columbus Day or the weekend prior that speak on the crowds
