October Vacationers??

I am pretty sure that it will be very crowded the 1st 2 weeks in Oct. That is why disney has added later hours and double Spectros.

I'm going Oct. 29th-Nov. 4th w/ MNSSHP on the 30th. I'm hoping that the crowds will be cleared out by the end of Oct./early Nov.

HI!
We'll be arriving at the YC Oct 13-17. Can't wait. I must admit I am a little bummed hearing how crowded it might be. We chose these dates thinking it won't be crowded. Oh well, I am used to the crowds, I just hope my friends won't mind.
:earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

I was a little bummed to hear it too, but not surprised. I'll just pack a little extra patience and pray that the days I've chosen for each park are not as crowded.

Boy SheDaisy0088....We will be there 12-16 also and MNSSHP on the 13th and we were also there during Spring Break. Great minds.....yada,yada,yada. We will be at the BC. Ya'll have fun.

Honeymooning @ POFQ 10/8-10/16

V&A chef's table on the 10th, MNSSHP on the 11th, F&WF 12th & 13th.
We had no problems getting any of our ADR's, guess we got lucky :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great trip and hopefully we will bump into a few of you

We'll be there with friends next weekend! October 1st thru the 8th!! Im nervous about the crowds and the seemingly constant line of hurricanes and tropical storms brewing in the Atlantic.... but Hey! I'll be at Disney!!! I can deal with it!!

We are going for our FIRST trip to Disney Oct.16-22!! (Me :earsgirl: : , DH :earsboy: and DD princess: ) We will be celebrating her 3rd Birthday!!! :bday: We were also hoping for small crowds but I'm sure we'll still have a GREAT time!!! Can't Wait :Pinkbounc See some of you there!

October 3-11 for me. First six nights at Saratoga Springs and then transferring to WL for my birthday. Doing MNSSHP on the 7th with a friend from the Orlando area. Also have the Backstage Magic tour scheduled for the 4th.

We will be there 10/28 thru 11/4. We also hope the crowds have died down by then. No free meal plan during this time will help. Going to the MNSSHP on the 28th.

Just over a month to go!!!! Luggage tags came in the mail this week!

:cool1:

I'm jealous of all of you!! October is my favorite time of year to go! The weather is perfect and I don't find the crowds to be bad at all. Epcot my be a little crowded due to the Food and Wine Festival but it's still worth it to go. My kids are getting too old to pull out of school now :sad2: so we can't go in October anymore! Have fun everyone!!

10/28-31st for us..MNSSHP on the 28th. Staying Yacht Club

I thought I read somewhere that there is a good chance the parks won't be too crowded but Resorts and Epcot probably will? Conferences or something so Epcot resorts are going to be bad...

:maleficen We'll be there from Oct. 8th - 16th...staying at Pop Century and doing MNSSHP on the 13th. I've been to WDW in October several times before and never found the parks to be too crowded, hopefully that will be the case this year as well. I can't wait!!!

Many schools in our area (central VT/NH) have 2 1/2 days off during the week of the 16th. We are going from 10/14 - 10/23. Our kids will only miss 3 days total of school. I know 4 other families from our area going during the same week. The free dining is over on 10/4 so that shouldn't contribute to the crowds. There is a PGA golf tournament during that time and great weather will certainly contribute. We are just going to go with the flow and enjoy ourselves.

Deb

We'll be there from Oct. 12 - 19...going to both Food & Wine and MNSSHP...cooking with Chef, Wine school, and two Wine & Food Parings! Can't wait!

Our school system is on Fall Break October 10-14 this year so DH :earsboy:, DD princess: and I :earsgirl: will be there!   We can't wait! Our school system went to this modified calendar where we begin the first week of August, get a week at Fall Break, a week at Thanksgiving, 2 1/2 weeks at Christmas, a week at Spring Break, and still get out before Memorial Day. I think it is great since vacations are much cheaper in the fall and spring than the summer, and since I work for the school system in the central office, it is much easier for me to take a week off in the fall than it is during the summer.

Two weeks and counting, we can't wait!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We'll be there for DD (age 16) fall break from 10/21 to 10/29...at POR.
Past years have shown that week to be busy but not crazy busy?

Anyone else with teenagers going to be there at that time? She's afraid she'll be the only one!

Boy it seems like according to this forum that there are alot of people going to WDW in October. I am taking my kids out of school and we are going the week of 10/16-10/22. I have been in the Magic Kingdom before on the Saturday before Columbus Day and I would never, ever do that again, but is seems like October will be pretty busy anyway. Tried to make ADR's for Fantasmic dinner package for either H & V or for Mamma Melrose but to now avail. I did get The Brown Derby package but we have to eat at 3:40 in the afternoon. Any suggestions on a good itinerary?? Is the Magic Kingdom going to be a mob seen? We are not doing MNSSHP but we will be spending alot of time in Epcot and MGM since we are staying at BWV. I just can't believe how hard it is to get ressies considering all the kids will be in school. I guess WDW is always busy now, no matter what time of year!! Anybody else going in October?
DW and I are arriving on the 19th after attending our niece's wedding in NC. I'm working the golf tourney as a volunteer. Hope to have some good weather.

My husband, my in-laws, and I are going from October 20 through October 23 and are staying at POR. I cannot wait!! This was a very unexpected trip so it makes it even more special! :cool1:
