October travelers?

The last part of the trip will be impacted by Jersey week and the first part will be impacted by marathon crowds, although it wouldn’t be as bad as when we went (both same week in 2023). Middle of the trip should be have lower crowds. Booking a 7 day trip certainly helps.

We’ve flown many times to hit the last Halloween party and kids had a few days off towards the end of the first week of Nov. Our trips are 7 days and we saw less Genie+ availability day 4-6 vs 2-3 (got Navi River and Jungle cruise day 3, but couldn’t get day 5 on our second day).
Yikes! How bad is the Marathon weekend? We are there Oct 24-29.... :/

The marathon crowds overlapping Jersey week was intense. Not your case and we’ve been to WDW when it was either or and it was never too bad. You can expect crowds more intense on actual marathon days esp evenings. You can check thrill data for which LLs are selling out the night before your booking window.

Unique Marathon+Jersey week:

Epcot food booths had 30-40 mins waits around 11:30 am. So do book a lunch ADR and use booths as snacks only.

Also it impacted fireworks viewing at MK. If you have young kids don’t be on Main Street surrounded by adults (kids won’t have any view and it felt suffocating). I would try to stand near the Adventureland entrance (easy to use the bathroom).

So just be aware and be prepared to improvise and head to less crowded areas. Expect longer waits for transportation as well.

Thanks for starting this October thread…
I have October 19 arrival for the Fort Wilderness Cabins and October 30 for 2 nights Halloween at BLT . I am not planning on the MNSSH because too expensive and I have done that many nights .You will be glad I am not attending because it always rains for me . I love the Halloween Parade but the new Dream Parade will be very popular and add to the crowds !
If you need Park Pass, you better reserve them now and tell your family too!
