The second story is the explosive one and I'm with you, I'll be reserving judgement until the facts are known.

One thing is clear to me thought....to try to write the definitive "history" of Operation Enduring Freedom (that is, that Bush has bungled the whole thing) seems pretty impossible to do accurately while the war is still being fought.
