At this time next week we will be having breakfast with Cinderella!!! I can't believe it's almost here!!!! For those of you who have just returned or are packing now..should I pack sweatshirts & long pants for the evening? :confused3

No, just maybe a light jacket for the evening, but you might not even need that.

I would like some opinions to. Here's my packing list;

2 capris
2 or 3 shorts
1 skirt (just in case)
2 t-shirts
3 sleeveless top
1 sweater tops
3 nice / casual tops
2 3/4 sleeve tops
2 swimsuits
2 pajama tops / pants

How does that sound for a 10 day trip?

disneyfav.., My packing list looks almost identical to yours so I hope we're both right :)

I can tell you what we normally do, We have been in April, July, September, abd December, and we usually pack the same. I see you are from NY so I doubt that 65 degree weather would seem frigid to you. I do take some capri type pants because I do not always like to wear shorts. I always take one pair of long pants for everyone (except me I use the capris) and everyone takes or buys as souvie one warmer top (zip up, sweat shirt etc...)
Otherwise we take all shorts and T's. I do not like to over pack and we still take and afternoon break/nap so I do one or two loads of laundry during the week. We find that we get hot and sticky so we often change clothes during the day, I just don't like to be all grimy and with the little one I always have dirt and food all over me, oh wait I have that even without him. This works out great for us and only one time was it cool enough that we had to wear the sweat shirt a few times and that was December and it was unseasonably cold (40's) Some of the attractions are cold inside and I like to have my warmer item for that sometimes. Have a wonderful trip. We are going on Oct 2 for a week.

Go to this news site.... www.wftv.com

It's Orlando's news station... you'll be able to get the weather there as well as the Weather Channel does the 10 day forecast so you'll have a general idea what the weather will be like when you are down there.

Hope you have a GREAT time :wave2:

I usually pack 1 pair of pants and 1 sweatshirt. Everything else is shorts and t-shirts. Thanks for the weather site.

We have been every year in Oct for the past few years. We always bring 1 sweatshirt(I end up wearing it in the hotel room because its sooo cold, thanks hubby) I only bring tee shirts and a jacket. Sometimes the mornings are a little chilly, but by 10am its warmed up. Last year we didn't wear a jacket or pants only shorts. It was high 80's-low 90's :sunny: :sunny:

We've been the past 2 years in October. (One was the 1st week, and the other was the 2nd week). Both times, the weather was still in the upper 80's and low 90's during the day.

I never had to wear long pants. One morning, I wore a sweatshirt because it was a little chilly in the am, but by the time we got to MK (around 10:00), I was able to take off the sweatshirt, as the weather had warmed up (unfortunately, then I had to carry around the sweatshirt all day!!!)

Plus, we never had any rain on either 2 trips!!!

The weather is so gorgeous in October! You will love it. I wanted to add my .02 cents about what I would pack. I agree with a sweatshirt and sweatpants of some sort. The AC is sooo cold sometimes. I usually bring a sweatshirt for each kid (and me too) when we experience indoor attractions at the parks b/c sometimes it is freezing in there! :cold: I use sweatpants for lounging in the hotel room for the same reason... I would rather bring from home than have to get stuck paying a fortune for one at WDW! :goodvibes Have fun! (We will be there a week or so after you!)
