October/November 2015?

My bf and I were planning a trip for October 31st to November 6th. My questions are what all happens around that week? I know mnssh and food and wine. Does Christmas decorations start going up? How are the crowds? Weather still fairly nice? I have been plenty of times during summer and September but never this late or close to holidays. Any input would be appreciated.

Of all the trips I have taken, Oct was my favorite month. The weather was great during the day and evening temperature wise. The Not so Scary party was awesome, and given they only sell so many tickets the lines were very reasonable for rides. Seeing everyone all dressed up was just so fun and festive. My kids got to trick or treat and follow a map to find the 'stations' that gave candy. During the day I didn't feel the ride lines were any better or worse then usual. I think there is a slight uptick given Halloween but it wasn't like New Years which is a zoo. Not sure if this helps at all but I think you will have a great time that week!

You might catch the xmas decorations in MK, since they pretty much go up right after the last MNSSHP. The first nas party doesn't start until 11/8 but the park will be decorated (minus the tree) before then.

We were there that same week in 2010 and the tree outside DHS went up on Nov. 2nd! I have a picture of two of my kids pointing to it and looking perplexed...LOL.
