Ugh, I'm sure Disney do this just to keep me on my toes :lmao:

Just wanted to let other October travellers know that there have been some changes to EMH for October.

Thanks for the heads up Theresa :flower3:

Aaaaaargh, nooooo. Thanks for the heads up. :goodvibes

I got an email yesterday from touring plans to say that my watched days had changed, I nearly fell off my chair in a panic :scared1:
Luckily it doesn't affect us too much, I had visions of having to change all my ADRS! Luckily not :woohoo:

Thanks for the info :thumbsup2 As we're only going for a week, we've tried to fit in as much as possible by planning a lot of our days around EMH so this has put a bit of a spanner in the works for us :sad2: luckily we only booked one meal during EMH and this wasn't affected, but it has affected a few of our other plans. Back to the drawing board! Hope everyone's not too affected by this :goodvibes

the EMH didnt change in terms of morning or evening and the days - but the overall hours of the parks have been extended (woo hoo)..
i guess they're expecting bigger crowds than what they originally thought..

however, the week after we leave, i did notice a changed EMH - it was switched from morning to evening or evening to morning, i can't remember ...

They did this last year and the year before as well so it is quite common. They normally only do it a few weeks out though, but I think since the US FD promotion was out a year ago like it was for the UK they had a better indication of resort capacity this year. I am still ready for Sept/Oct amendments closer to the time though as this is the pattern so you need to keep an eye on it. But yes, always to extend.

Mine have changed, I had emh for ak so booked a breakfast and now not emh forvthat day at ak, don't know if change my ressie or leave it

If it's an early TH leave it and you will out just as the park opens - we di this in May and were on one of the first safari trucks and we had never seen so many animals!

Because it hadn't altered on here i thought i was ok!!! But i'm not...our first day was going to be EMH at AK but now there is nowhere that has EMH that day!!! Luckily it hasn't affected any reservations we have for meals.

Thanks for this, I'm a bit worried November may change also now but seems to be the same at the moment.

It is quite normal for them to adapt the hours closer to the time, however the busier months are more likely to be affected. They generally only add hours/shows/parades but it is highly unlikely that they will reduce them or change the actual EMH days. It can happen but it is not something I would even worry about. Keeping a park open later shouldn't impact your plans in any way, unless you were hoping for an early night and can't resist staying up later if the park is open ... ;)

The only thing that may affect touring plans, if you follow one, are extra parades or particularly a show like Fantasmic, which will have an effect on crowd levels.

Just keep an eye on the hours and on the boards so that if it does happen you can take the changes into account as soon as possible. The general trend is for Disney to make these changes quite close to the time, as in a few weeks (or even less on occasion). Again, unless you are there over the Thanksgiving week/weekend I don't think you have much to worry about. :goodvibes

Thanks very much. :goodvibes I'm sure we'll be so exhausted that we'll be ready for bed most nights by 9pm so probably won't stay late anyway! I have made a few dining ressies with the hopes of catching parades after etc.. so will keep an eye on these times.

yes, parade times could throw a spanner in the works if adapted, but when we have been and they have fiddled with those, it has been to add a later one. I don't recall them actually chaning the times already set, although I do know that this has happened. As long as you have enough time between your reserrvation and the start of the parade you should be fine.
