October Discounts

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this while i "patiently" wait for any fall promotions that may come out. I have seen the "possible" dates for free dining based on pins people have been receiving (not me), however if a resort discount was offered do you think it would be the same dates listed? I check in the 4th of October, and i know if FD is offered and that is the last date included i would get it for my entire trip, however if it was a resort discount i would only get it for the first day of my trip as it seems thru the 13th (my check out day) is blacked out.

It may or may not be the same dates as I've had pins before that were not the same as general dates but almost. I am waiting for October discounts, too, I'm doing a split stay and have an AP. There seem to be a lot of confusing options concerning free dining and room discounts. Right now I am thinking of taking an AP room discount on the first stay since the room rate is higher. Then take free QS Dining and upgrade to Regular Dining on the second stay. I'm not sure because I really don't want to buy more tickets to get free dining. I already have a set from February that I didn't need. Since they don't allow combining of tickets I couldn't use all of them toward an AP renewal this year. I guess I could save them for 2013 renewal. Here's hoping we even get some discounts coming for October!
