October Crowds after Columbus Day Weekend

I'm considering taking DD to WDW on October 18th for a week but I'm wondering how busy it will be.

Can anyone tell me how it would compare to July or August (the times we've been the last 3 years)? We managed the crowds but just can't take the summer heat anymore... But before I consider taking DD out of school for a week (in celebration of her 16th birthday), I'd like to make sure we aren't going at a really busy time. Also, is the weather nice at that time of year?

I cannot give a comparison to July/August but it was definitely more crowded than the second week in September. We normally go that week but last year went the week after Columbus Day (travelled with another couple) and we did not like the crowds. I would guess it is less than July/August but I can't say for sure.
