Ok gals, I decided we needed our own thread!

Things I really need to do (well over due):
Finish the STDs
Order invitations (we finally picked them out today) for reception
Print invitations for Disney & get planning books printed

Any one else running behind? :scared: :coffee:

Hi Alissa! I am running behind!

I need to revise the wording on my invitations
Order bridesmaid dresses
Order one flowergirl dress
Fax revised contract to Randy
Send money to the videographer
Order MNSSHP tickets
Change 1 ADR
Call Raglan Road
Call and set up a phone appointment with Laura for floral

AHHH!!! :scared1: Now I am starting to panic. There are probably other things I need to do that I can't think of at the moment.

Did you make an appointment with Carolyn Allens?

Im a Disney Bride and here is what I need to do

*Get the girls going on choosing their shoes
*Send out Bridal Shower Invites
*Order Favors
*Order boxes that favors go in
*Send new idea to Rose for my bouquet
*Go shopping with moom for her dress
*Order flower girl baskets and ring bearer pillows
*Order Bridesmaid jewelry

SO MUCH TO DO:surfweb:

I think part of having a wedding is "running behind" on a lot of different things! I started planning around April 2007 and I thought, I'll be done EVERYTHING so far ahead of time, it will be great. That didn't work out to plan :)

The stuff that's left is all easy!

I still need to micromanage for FL:
*Make appointment to get dress fitted, then get the dress fitted.
*Make sure DM gets her dress fitted.
*Buy shoes for the wedding day.
*Find slippers for when the shoes I buy start to make my feet hurt.
*Decide which part I'm going to spend my governmental rebate check on.
*Buy a veil.
*Send out more save the dates to the "B" list, but make sure they don't know they're "B" list.
*Finish up the wording for the ceremony.
*Umm, change my cake now that we might have cake choices!!
*Change the time that we're using the limo for the 19th time.
*WEDDING LICENSE!!
*Dance Lessons
*Decide what I want to do for my bachelorette party (MOH is letting me pick PARTY or SPA).
*Help plan my "surprise" shower.
*Give DF a loving nudge about the tuxes.
*Make ADR for FMIL... why is this my job??
*Reserve the Breathless Boat as a gift for my parents.
*Send out wedding invitations.
*Eat lots n lots of chocolate to keep myself from becoming :furious:

We're having a "small reception" at home (for 120 people!) after we get back from our honeymoon, so I still need to:party:
*Decide the menu and taste this food.:mickeybar
*Hope the caterer's cake doesn't suck so I don't have to find a bakery.:cake:
*Find a cosmetologist and hair person here.
*Buy wine and beer.:drinking1
*Make up the list of the "do not play or our guests will throw things at you" list for our dj. :duck:
*Our one friend (a very serious dentist) will be singing a kareoke version of "Baby got Back" for us as part of a wedding present, and we have to make sure that will be ok with the DJ. :music:
*Convince DM that rectangular tables are just as good as circular tables.:chat:
*Pick out table cloths. :ssst:
No problem :faint:

Hey guys!
heres my list.
order flower girl baskets and ring pillow.
make my bms order their dresses from davids bridal, does anyone know how long it takes for them to get in once ordered?
send out my invitations. i just ordered them yesterday from paper divas.
get my wedding shoes and veil, tiara and earrings. (got the necklace)
order favors and boxes.
order personalized mim wine bottles from clearwater winery
name my tables in the living seas.. maybe something ocean related?
type up newletters and info on wdw and the wedding.
get e-photos taken.
loose 10 lbs!

I still need to:
finish menu cards
send out invites
buy tiara & jewelry
dye crinoline
make sure all BM find shoes
make welcome folders
make table numbers

Thats all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there's more.

OMG thanks for the reminder!!

You are SO organized!! I'm a f'n mess!! :rotfl:

Laura -- so glad I'm not having a traditional wedding party, omg all that stuff would make me go crazy!!

I am so unorganized it is easier to say what I have done:
-have dress and shoes
-have favours purchased and put together
-have BMs gift bags almost complete

That's it. I don't even have my contract, no invites, no date confirmed but I am hoping for Oct 8.... :rotfl2: ...hmmmmm...it's actually not that funny...

OMG you are making me realise just how much I have got left to do.
Thank you so much for starting this tread as it has been a bit of a kick up the rear!!!

Having a slight nightmare as people keep deciding to come, we are up to 44 at the moment and our limit is 40!!!! :headache:
Diane (our planner) is just the best ever and she has managed to find some table tops that we can sit on top ob the WH tables so they can seat 12, so that is one job out of the way.

To Do for Disney wedding:
· Mum needs to make all table arrangements, button holes, bouquets, etc etc and then I need to collect them from Malta
· Sort out video music
· Sort out ceremony music
· Put all reception music on ipod, have not even chosen any of the music!!
· Put guest info packs together
· Et Bridesmaids jewellery
· Get flower girls shoes
· Get flower girls headbands.
· Sort me some comfy shoes for the evening
· Finish making alter bows
· Make some more place setting frames
· Do table plans
· Do menu cards
· Do uk invites
The list goes on and on…..oh my god I am supposed to be a super organised control freak….yes not living up to my title to well.:rotfl2:

That’s it wedding focus is back on. This weekend we are going to focus on music. Lucy for me my sister’s boyfriend is a music producer so we have just got to tell him what songs and he is going to do the rest for us!!!
I also want to finish my alter bows this weekend as well. :thumbsup2

Can I ask for some advice, I have the Landau coach booked at the moment but my DF wants to walk back from pavilion to Whitehall room with guests and have natural photos taken on the way. Now I cannot see any point is paying $1700 for the carriage one way. What do you think? :confused3

Don't worry, we've all got plenty of time left.

Have you walked from the WP to Whitehall before? We're having our cake in the room next to Whitehall. Our coordinator said it's a bit of a hike and we should use our limo instead.

I thought it would be close enough to walk too. In our schedule, I noticed that we are using bus transportation for guests and limo for us to get to the White Hall room.

First off, I just want to say hi to all you other October Brides. :wave2:

I do have a question for all of you: Are you doing attendant gifts/gifts for your parents? For my parents, we're probably going to reserve them time on the Breathless boat because my DD always talks about how cool it is whenever he sees it. DF got his brothers wallets. For my MOH and BM, I was thinking of doing something small/fun for them like taking them to sample/smell perfume in France in Epcot and getting them a little one or letting them do one of the pearl in an oyster thing. As for FMIL, I'm at a total loss though. Any opinions for MOH, BM, and FMIL?

Like a year ago I signed up for this wedding site that had a checklist/time-line of when you're supposed to do things. Then every month, they started sending me emails of what I was supposed to do. Then the wedding website police ::cop: started sent me emails that listed my "overdue tasks." It annoyed me to the point where I started making my own lists of things to do. I'm like the list master now.

Yeah I feel like I have so much to do! Today I had to add 6 extra people to our ADRs (bringing some meals up to 30 ppl!) :rotfl2: I had to change the times for every single one. Thank god people actually listened to me when I told them I needed to know if they were coming. :confused3

::cop: <--I need one of these (planning police)

I love the boat idea...I will have to look into that for my folks.

For my MOH and BM I bought a fun, beachy tote and I am filling it with lots of goodies like pajamas, flip flops, towel, makeup, photo album, a novel from their fave author, etc. I am also hoping to add a nice piece of jewelry. (I hope my sister isn't reading this!!) I'm not sure about the FMIL. Maybe a golf outing for them...

Its not far at all. It it was the middle of the day in teh middle of summer it would nit be great. It is about a 4 - 5 min slow walk and there are so many fab places to have photo's done on the way. I would like all off us to have a photo taken outside of the GF entrance.
Also the door to the WH room is closer than the main convention centre door, if that makes sense????

My guests are def walking, it would be a waste of money otherwise :cool1:

We could use the Limo as we will still have it for 30 mins after ceremony but DF has his heart set on natural photos of us and all our guests walking together.

Wonder why my coordinator said we needed the limo then. Have I been complaining about wearing heels that much to everyone?? :confused3 :lmao: Hmm, is it time to "tweak the limo arrangements" again?
