October ADR- nothing available!

we chose October thinking it would be a little slower. I missed the 180 mark by a week and I can't get any of our faves- akershus, Ohana breakfast or dinner and nothing at BOg or Cinderella table.

We booked some new ones for us- Tusker House, Boathouse and Kona.

We are staying at Poly for 2 nights and really wanted Ohana- what's the chance of a walk up?

Chance of walk ups are slim to none, my advice is to keep checking back for an ADR for Ohana. People cancel all the time.

Right now the only option is 9:45 Onpy one day the whole trip and nothing for breakfast. It seemed like for every restaurant I looked up online it would only give 2 options.
I always called in to DVC before. First time doing online. Would calling in give better options?

October is really not slow at all any more. The number of MK party nights also makes those restaurants tighter to get, and a lot of people book Ohana for party nights to watch the fireworks without a party ticket.

No DVC sees same inventory.

If you want a specific time, plug it in vs 'breakfast/lunch/dinner'

Oct very popular w/DVC bookings & between MNSSHP & Food/Wine, it's very busy time @ the world.

Sign up for the reservation finders on touring plans and ***********. People cancel all the time. Just be quick when you get the alert.

October has stopped being a low period and is very popular. There are many special events that will drive the crowds. Keep watching, you can also subscribe to the October cancel thread

If you are staying at the Poly, you can have Ohana food delivered to your room.

Also - if you can't get a reservation, trying to get in without one becomes a lot easier if you are in the building. A reservation is definitely the way to go, but I have seen them letting walk-ups in. Try it as a last resort.

Use the Touring Plans reservation finder. It's a free service and works perfectly. Over MLK weekend this year, we used it to secure tables at 'Ohana, Be Our Guest and Beaches & Cream all with just a few days' notice. It's brilliant.
