Hi everyone! This is my first time on here & it will be our first cruise ever. My name is Kristin, my husband Matt, & our daughter Allison will be 20 months for our October cruise on the dream.I was looking for any advise anyone could give us!
Thank you & can't wait to see everyone on the cruise!![]()
Welcome!! The best piece of advice I can offer you is to read up on these cruise boards as much as you possibly can! There are some great threads on here with secrets Disney doesn't really make known like how you can bring in items to be autographed and leave them with guest services and they will get them signed for you by the end of the cruiseHubby and I will be bringing a photo matte to be autographed
There's a TON of information on here though!! I'm sure if you post some specific questions you might have, we'll all do our best to answer them![]()
DCL would like you to NOT come in swim suits or "park" clothing. I usually bring a pair of khaki long leg pants and a polo shirt or Hawaiian shirt. This works for dress up night too. The stage shows have lots of action and Disney characters, so I would say yes as long as you don't sit too far back in the theater. My husband was wondering about the dress code for dinner? There are conflicting views on this out there and we were hoping someone could help us.
I was wondering about the shows. Will they keep my 20 month old daughter's attention?
I think that's it for now! I'm sure I will have several more questions before our cruise date!
Mandy - may I suggest you make a group dis-sign for our little group here? I love your DCL Mickey in the life ring. Perhaps a text showing this location and our Facebook group so we can stay in touch even after the cruise? I know I would display it on my door. Make it so it would look good on a regular 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper then it could be laminated to protect it.
Love your work on photobucket.![]()
Hi everyone!
Getting closer - can't wait to meet you all. Anyone going to Food & Wine after the cruise? If so, let's make plans to meet there also. Any experienced cruisers in our group? What tips do you have for us newbies?
Teagansdisney said:Hi everyone,
We just booked the 4 night Bahamian cruise on 10-7. We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary and my husbands 40th birthday. We have one son who is 4.5 years old. Would love to get to know some families while on board.
This is our first cruise so any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dylan
Hey! Welcome aboard! We will be cruising for the first time as well. We just received our travel documents today. Can't wait!
