**@@** October 6th, 2007 Magic**@@**

Just wanted to say hi to everyone!

Laura, glad you had a good time. While I was going around to work this past week down here Savannah, about to MELT in the heat, I was thinking of you all sitting on the beach. In my dream, you all were happy playing in the water and drinking Cokes and reading books, and I would think, you know, I could just go up there to visit and say hello. :rotfl2:

As far as Friday plans, we're driving in straight to the port and staying over night at the Radisson and eating dinner with some family we have over there. Does anyone have any resturant suggestions for me for that area by chance? That boat thing sounds way cool though!

I just cut out the pattern and fabric for my semi formal dress. I'm taking a sewing class and I picked this as my project. I'm so nervous it's going to look bad, but I've told myself I'm wearing it, period! I'll just have to try extra hard. I mean it has darts and everything, so y'all wish me luck.

Happy planning Pixie Dust to everyone :wizard:

We spent the night in Savannah! What a lovely city you have there! We stayed at the Hampton Inn on MLK street... Walked to Juillette Low's house (such a lovely house!!!) Down to River Street. Ate and a lovely resturaunt on the water... Later that night at Pizza at City Market and talked with a bunch of locals. I also spent way too much at the candy store next to the pizza place!

So pictures..

This is looking out and to the right from our hotel room...

Plaque outside Low's Birthplace. We took the tour. It's a lovely house (no photos allowed inside though) and we bought the special official pin for visiting.

Savannah is just lovely. We enjoyed walked around town. Enjoying the 'squares' and the buildings. Such Character! Next time we drive down, we are strong considering spending two nights there!

Cute one of the kids on the dolphin cruise..

I forgot to add... Lauren I wish you the best of luck with your dress!! How fun to make it yourself. Just remember to breath as your stitching. :upsidedow

I really need to think about what I am going to wear on Formal night. Part of me really would like the boys in Tux's, but I dont feel like shopping for a gown. I am not fond of the ones I have, and I am just not up to the task to shop for something else. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE my purple outfit I bought at the art fair... so I now leaning that way. My DH in his suit and me in that... fancy dresses for the girls and my boy would be dreamy in a little suit! That might just be 'formal' enough for us. So I guess I now know what I am doing for formal night....

Now what to do about SEMI FORMAL NIGHT!!! Woot woot! I really do love the process of packing for a cruise. Seems every night has a purpose :-)

Oh and Lauren, Shirley on the main Cruise boards has LOTS of suggestions for places to eat. She owns and runs the Perfect Gift, and makes wonderful cruise baskets for DCL cruises. He lives in the Port Canveral Area and has the inside scoop on everything!!

It's been a busy summer so far . . . .

Our youngest daughter who will turn 5 in September broke her little arm last Tuesday night while dancing. Tried to catch her fall and just landed wrong. Between the Hospital visit and now two visits to the Orthopedic Surgeon, it has been a hectic week. She was in a temporary cast until yesterday and it was extremely hard to keep her out of the water. It is a little warm here in Arizona and she just wasn't used to not being able to jump in the pool. All fixed now with a waterproof cast.

We've decided most of our excursions and such. It has been a little difficult with our large group to get organized (our travel party is 16 folks).

Key West - looks like we will rent an electric car and see some sites. We have been to Key West before so it's not such a priority for us.

Monday - booked a couple of things at the Spa. Brunch at Palo @ 11am.

Grand Kayman - Going to hit the beach on our own.

Cozumel - Age appropriate are doing the Royal Dolphin swim and the rest the Dolphin Encounter.

Thursday - High Tea at Palo @3pm

CC - Tons, we are doing the Stingrays again, parasailing, and a couple of us are going to do the Ecco Tour.

Looking at this - this cruise is too short!!

Not decided on the night before the cruise. We were going to stay at the Nick Hotel (and some may still) but we are thinking of just staying at BVC. We love that place and well, that's why we bought into DVC. Might as well use the points instead of paying for a hotel we will only be at for a few hours. Still debating about MNSSHP or just relaxing at the great pool Beach Club has. Will probably do the character breakfast at Cape May on Saturday morning and then head to the ship.

Just had to pop on and say, I just realized I am 77 days away from being 44 :lmao:

Which means our cruise is 79 days out AND>>>>>>

4 more days until
the last of our group
can book their excruisons!!!
YIPPEEE!!!!

Lauren, just had to offer some encouragement in the sewing department. It just takes following directions and some practice. I made my first outfit by myself at 13 I think (I was bored over Easter break and mom was working). I actually won a prize for it at school - way back when.

Current project is finishing up DD's formal wedding dress. The casual one is already done. Only my DD would figure out a way to have two weddings. Just have the hem and trim around the hem to finish on the formal one but have to get DD in the dress and her shoes and STANDING STILL before I can measure the hem properly. Some things are easier said than done.

Her brother and his wife were over tonight and brought her first wedding present. They got her a video picture frame that she and her hubby can put a memory card from the camera and watch their pictures - and is small enough to fit in their cabin on the ship. This one is really neat and will display the time every 4th picture or so. They didn't have anything like that 34 years ago when DH and I married. I have a box of silver and crystal serving dishes that I never use. How the times have changed.

Bedtime in Texas. Good luck on the sewing.

I'm back! I know none of you missed me but at least I am back to work now.
Did the bad thing and slipped a disk...Ouch! :sad2:
But thanks to the Back Dr- I am walking again and back to work part time.

And back to working on the cruise...

I have not made reservations but the electric car in Key West is quoted Baraccuda -$140-total/3 hours also- $190 -5 hours -sunshine rentals 305-294-9990.. sunshine rentals will discount to this amount if you order other tickets thru them -like for the museums or tours etc.

Yes, we are some of the last ones allowed to book... hope there is some left. 3am Monday ...here I come! :rolleyes1

Grrrrrr! Well, poo! I talked to the cruise agents today and, even though MIL paid in full yesterday, it takes at least a week to process it and get it submitted to Disney so we will just have to wait and see how long it takes before we get confirmation. I hope we can still get reservations before sailing! If not, I guess we will just have to wait in lines on embarkation day.
:charac2:

As for the night before (you will see in my signature), we are braving the parks during the day and have tickets for MNSSHP that night. Yes, we are crazy!

WOW! I hate to say - bad cruise agents but ..WOW..:scared1: . I made some changes to my ressie and paid in full and the changes are already in place...-- Within minutes of my making the changes. I am going through AAA and have only good to report.

Well, here's hoping it comes across soon for you. pixiedust: pixiedust:

HEY- I just had a thought.. Dangerous I know...
Do you have your Disney reservation #? If so You can go online and see if you are eligible on Monday with the rest of us late people!

I do have my DCL number and I have logged on to the site. I plan to try on Monday anyway but who knows? I know the booking window opens Monday as long as the cruise is paid in full (which it is due that day).

I guess this is what we get for booking through beatanycruiseprice.com! :rotfl:

Anyway, I was just venting earlier because you al know I have been obsessing over this for months and I will just be crushed if I cannot book on Monday and lose spots I am hoping to get. I so do not want to spend my first hours on board rushing around from line to line to book different things. :guilty:

I actually just logged in again. With further inspection, I do not see the words that it has to be paid in full. It just says that everyone is eligible to book 75 days out (and more for CC, RAS, etc.). Could this be? Should I still set my alarm for 2a.m.? :confused3

No matter how organized I can be....I still have no idea waht night is what and when to do what and where...I feel like you can never be too prepared for this trip and no one can know it all?
Is there an easy way to find out what seating you have for dinner and what nights are what....when do I book our Palo night? What should I miss out on with the kids? :confused3 :confused3
HELP!!! Also, any help with the pool situation and no diapers allowed?:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I don't see it on mine either but I know it is a stipulation... I guess we will both be sitting beside the computer at 3am waiting for the thing to kick in! :surfweb: Here's pixiedust: pixiedust: to help you on your way!

I'm setting my clocks to make sure I am up and ready... :thumbsup2  :hippie: :wizard: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

And I get to reserve on two reservations so I get double the fun! :cloud9:
: :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 Don't really care how many I get to work on- it's the fact that we are finally getting to the last leg of the planning and only
2 1/2 months to go!!!

:cool1: i like #4 best and #1 and #2 for content and color. they r winners.:yay: :yay: we r rolling along getting closer to the date. won't be long till we r rolling on the high ocean and cruiseing along :cheer2: :cheer2: going for the magic and eating our hearts content.:dance3:

We had to pay in full before we could book (at the CC member date).
Slapped the balance on Amex via DCL website and was immediately able to book Palos/Spa/Excursions etc.

Good morning! I just called DCL to see if they could tell me anything about our payment...they said they can't share that information but that I looked good to go. Sooooo, that means I can book on Monday with everyone else! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I guess the travel agent just says to give it a week for their own insurance in case it does take a while? And I don't know why DCL wouldn't be able to tell a passenger if their payment has gone through??? I thought that was strange.

Anyway, I am back to feeling excited instead of depressed!:wizard:

Is there a way to figure out what dining rotation you are on (what restaurant you are dining in each night) before the 75 day window opens?

I have heard, and DCL also told me on the phone, that we will not know our actual rotations until we check in and receive our Key to the World card.

Since it is my first cruise, I just figured I for sure want to be at dinner the first three nights and then I looked at the rest of the themes to try and figure out what to miss for Palo.

Hey all. Phew, it has been a while since I posted on here, but we have just made the final payment on the trip, and it is now official. Looking forward to 3am Monday morning to start making reservations. Its all downhill now, before you know it, we will be boarding the ship. WooHooo.

Well we are paid in full. I can't wait until Monday so I can try to book Palo brunch. I hope there is something left for us.

Everything seems so real now. I can't believe that we are really going on a cruise. It's something we have always talked about doing but never got around to it. NOW ITS HERE !!!:dance3:
