Wish the res system would work!! Guess I'm headed to bed. Did get the Palo done but not Flounders. But still...we're going...yeah.

On a seperate note...I vote for pin 10.

Now that every thing is paid/locked/loaded, it was time to get the basic door stuff done:

Zazzle has removed two of my favorite button designs for no reason-- unless it would be the ship I have on them.. So I am working with them to see exactly what part of the design they are saying is copyrighted. Until I get this straightened out- and I will... Here are the two other designs Button 12 and 13

Button 13:

Button 12:

I will get this worked out or will remove the ships -- but if you look closely at the ships-- there are hidden Mickeys!!

"OK OK-- not so "hidden" Mickeys..." - exaggerated!

  i like #! #2 and #13and i love the door magnets too:cool1: :cool1: keep up the good work.:dance3: we are going cruising with the mouse. :woohoo: :woohoo: getting everything moving, resies made, and packing our bags. look out world here we come:yay: :yay:

Activites:

Day - 1: Port Canaveral, Spending the night prior at a hotel near port. Prob Doubletree Cocoa Beach.
Day - 2: Key West: Walk around a bit and buy Key Lime Pie on a Stick. Yum. Maybe go on a jet ski tour http://www.keywestwatertours.com/tours.htm Evening Dinner @ Palo's
Day - 3: At Sea: Enjoy the Ship!
Day - 4: Grand Cayman: Sting ray excursion (not sure who with yet) Prob Captain Bryan's or Captain Marvin's or less likely DCL
Day - 5: Cozumel: Either taxi to Paradise Beach or NACHI COCOM All Inclusive Beach Club
Day - 6: At Sea: Enjoy the Ship! (Morning....Toddler in Flounders for some time by the Quiet adult pool)
Day - 7: Castaway Cay: Enjoy Mickey's Paradise!

As you can see none of our excursions are through DCL. CAN"T WAIT FOR ALL THE FUN TIMES THOUGH!!! Anyone else doing some of above?

We know we aren't with the majority here, but we went to Paradise Beach with our two younger girls (ages 7 and 4) in March and they wanted to leave within an hour. Perhaps they have been spoiled by the beaches in the Southern Caribbean, Honduras, Belize, and such. Paradise Beach had large rocks in the water and the play equipment in the water was not safe for them. Too many older children and adults not paying attention to the smaller ones. The beach itself was nice, the facilities are nice, but it is small. Just our opinion - which we know others don't tend to agree with.

I agree on the rocks at paradise beach. That was our only complaint. I can also agree on the water toys. I wouldn't let my 6 year on on the iceberg and was concerned with her on the water trampoline. So many injuries occur on trampolines.

We are leaning towards Naci Cocum this time. There is a pool and a hot tub and much less crowded. They limit the crowd to 100.

Here is a paste from the website...
NACHI COCOM IS BACK!

OK.. I have received info from Zazzle.. it was my ears.. since I did not follow the actual sizing or shape of Disney ears (I just put three circles together) I assumed my Mickey ears were different enough to pass.. but Zazzle thinks differently.. SO.. I have adjusted the designs with the ears- see what you think... Go to the Zazzle link below in my signature to see them. I now only have a total of five..

Not sure if #13 will fly (has a corner cutout of ears..- If not I can change again.
Also, since we all have to individually order these- we can make the button editable for anyone to make changes and we can each add our individual names (dis board or real) to the button... Right now I have the designs locked so you can't make changes - but if any of mine are chosen I can change that.

On to what we are doing on the cruise:
Activites:
(borrowed TexasGirls layout...Thanks!)
Day - 1: Port Canaveral, Spending the night prior at Hyatt at the airport.
Day - 2: Key West: Rent electric car -(if I can get a response from the company!)sightsee -Key Lime Pie on a Stick.
Day - 3: At Sea: Enjoy the Ship!
Day - 4: Grand Cayman: Sting ray excursion (not sure who with yet) Prob Captain Bryan's or Captain Marvin's
Day - 5: Cozumel: Chaakanaab park for Dolphins(not Disney) and maybe snuba
Day - 6: At Sea: Brunch at Palo's with DM and DGM (grandmother)
Day - 7: Castaway Cay: DS-parasailing, Maybe banana boat ride(not sure who will go if at all)

Somewhere in there DM and I want to do the marguarita tasting thingy onboard.

We are reserving lightly- trying not to empty the bank... the cruise itself should be enough right?

I vote for Pin 13!:thumbsup2

As for my schedule so far:

Day - 1: Port Canaveral, Spending the two nights prior in Orlando. WDW and MNSSHP on Friday night.
Day - 2: Key West: Walk around a bit and explore. Want to see Hemingway's house, try some Key Lime Pie and maybe eat at Sloppy Joe's.
Day - 3: At Sea: Enjoy the Ship! and Palo high tea in the afternoon with SIL and MIL
Day - 4: Grand Cayman: Sting ray and snorkeling excursion (not sure who with yet). 8pm dinner at Palo with DH
Day - 5: Cozumel: Check out a beach or maybe Atlantis submarine
Day - 6: At Sea: Enjoy the Ship! Brunch at Palo with DH & ILs
Day - 7: Castaway Cay: Enjoy Mickey's Paradise!

That's all I know for now...I am still exploring excursion options. It is hard to plan with a 1 year old! I was happy to get my Palo reservations and get her booked in Flounder's Reef accordingly.:woohoo:

:surfweb: I am in communication with Zazzle to confirm what button designs are allowed. Please hang in there until we can iron out the issues. They are removing designs that do not even have any Disney logos (including ears)-- So I have sent them an email requesting that they work with me and I have again tweeked the buttons ..just a bit.

I will update as soon as I know details.

And I have a question...:confused3
How soon is it time to pack for the cruise?? Is two months early too soon?? I am so afraid with everything we have going on in the next two months that I am going to be in BIG trouble! :sad2: :confused3 All I can say is thank goodness for mothers... and I have a GREAT ONE! :grouphug: Family issues... Me having surgery, DD9 having surgery...Sheesh! Somebody unplug this ride ... I want off! :scared:

Ok- I have received an email from Zazzle..that was like all the rest.. says nothing. The only time I have received any info from them was about the ears logo..but even after i made sure that ALL ears were removed they still took off my designs. So I studied the designs and decided that the only thing in common was the WORD Disney. So I guess Disney had that copyrighted too.. So be warned . Don't name your kid Disney... Because Disney will own them!

Anyway! I removed all 'Disney' wording and tweaked AGAIN!! Button 8B reflects my current frustration with Zazzle's lack of communication.

So we try again... :headache:

Gee this is all making my "NOT From Arizona" and "From Arizona" buttons look pretty good. :lmao:

Sorry Zazzle is being a pain and sending out 'form' letters and such. What a pain.

Welcome MadJoker - to the cruise and to the Disboards!:cheer2:

This is my first cruise so I cannot answer your question about French spoken on board.

Welcome to the boards, Madjoker!

The crew (like most other cruise lines) is an international one. I feel though, that Disney has an even more diverse staff than the others. I am sure that you will find many cast members (staff) who speak french. If I remember correctly, I encountered at least one french canadian, and many from Europe (mostly the UK). You may want to go to guest services once on board to ask them who speaks french and if you could be put in touch with them.

Welcome again!
